Complete list of all the Cowboys moves so far

Agreed to deal with RB Javonte Williams - Total JAG.
Agreed to deal with OG Robert Jones - Total JAG but he started last year so maybe he's competent depth
Agreed to deal with DE Payton Turner - Total JAG. Cheap former 1st round they hope they can somehow turn around.
Agreed to deal with LB Jack Sanborn - Total JAG. But we need LBs.
Agreed to deal with RB Miles Sanders - Ehhh, don't mind. He's been bad the last two years but maybe playing for a bad team hurt.
Traded for CB Kaiir Elam (Bills) - decent trade but as I have read here, he's good in man, terrible in zone and Eberflus likes zone. Alot.
Traded for LB Kenneth Murray - Don't mind as he's pretty good in run support. Can't cover Zach Martin though.
(Titans)Signed DT Solomon Thomas - Seems odd after bringing Osa back. Thomas can't stop the run. Why not get a run stopping DT?
Agreed to deal with DE Dante Fowler - First real nice signing

The question I start with every off-season is, “What is our plan to get better and who will we bring in to make us better?”

It’s still early but not seeing anything that resembles a new plan this year than we’ve had in recent years.

Honestly there’s no one on our list of people added so far that says, “We are clearly better at this position.” Maybe after TC and the season starts that will change but my mantra remains: I will believe it WHEN it happens.”
They’ve thrown a little more poop at the wall than usual. Maybe Jerry strikes oil, but if you’re looking for clear and convincing evidence, not gonna happen.

They are trying to steal something for nothing with these former 1sts….or maybe they just remember those names from past drafts as opposed to recent film….but at least it appears they are trying something, whether it works or not is a different thing.

ho hum....jags
No. Some jags, some starters, some great role players. Good core foundation guys. Solid special teamers. One common thread I am seeing is most of them are high character dudes on and off the field. Which we are learning we didn't seem to have much of. Guess Jerrah made a mess and now they expect Shotty to clean it all up. Kinda hard to fix culture issues dating back to 2001 lol, in one year. It will take a village. Lots of dart throws on players to get it right.

At least they are throwing it this time. Last year they shut it down. They decided to not do free agency last year. It was Jerry being pissed at the HC and I think at dlaws tired comments. None of this stuff set well. Jerry was determined to sabotage McCarthy and the team. Yes...he would do that. And he did. Now look at the stark contrast.

Well Bob....this is better than last year BUT that bar is so low, we are still near the bottom of the pole (lol).

i get it, they have Josh Allen. But imagine if we had the issue that they have. lol. 2 of the guys they signed this week both face 6 game suspensions.
Imagine this board if we did that haha

Edit: add Dante Fowler now.

I just noticed the Dante Fowler addition moments before you posted this! Me likee plenty!!

They signed him for 1 year, for the fair amount of $8 million bucks! (We finally spent some $$$.)

Lits of interesting players and most under 28 years old. Liads of potential and hopefully they just needed a change of scenery to be much better.

At least it was a lot better than last few years. True proof yet to come as still need a good #2 WR, decent CB, and backup QB, then hit on starters the 1st two days of the draft.

in one year it will all go to shiet anyway.....its the same cycle with Jerry. hold a coach until very end. don't pay coaches dead money. detriorate the team during a coaches tenure. then wash, rinse repeat. step back slightly for one year, create some hope with new coach and a few new names and rinse repeat. chances are most of these guys won't work out and we get value out of a very few.

The much improved coaches IMO.
A very good former Cowboy OL will be hosting a camp for us in 3 weeks, still lives in Dallas and is close to the team. Can't wait to bend his ear about the new staff. Heard from another insider recently that they are excited to see what BS and this staff can do. Nothing like getting for first gig after years of paying your dues.....I think it'll be one of the best staffs we've had in many, many years.
