I've seen this comparison a few times and I don't agree with it.

Edelman can take some punishing hits over the middle and get right back up. He's two inches taller and 20 pounds heavier. He also fights for tough yards after the catch. Switzer isn't going to try to run over a CB or Safety to try and get an extra yard or two.

Switzer seem almost identical to Beasley as a WR, but is a much better returner.

The scores and measurements are well and good but there is no measurement for the intangibles, that is what will separate the great from the good from the OK.....here's hoping greatness

This guy would have been All-Pro.

Beasley is a comp as well as all the NE slot receivers.
How about Sterling Shepard who was drafted by the Giants in the 2nd round in 2016

-------------------------height--weight--hands--40---cone--shuttle--reps--vert
Sterling Shepard--5'10"---194-----9 3/4---4.48--7.00---4.35----20-----41
Beasley--------------5'8"-----175---------------4.49--7.16---4.14----17-----38
Switzer---------------5'8"-----181-----9 1/4---4.51--6.77--4.00----11------32

Much more agile than Shepard and Beasley with great cone score.
Much weaker and limited catch radius due to limited vertical jump and height
Similar speed.
Lighter and shorter than Shepard but bigger than Beasley.
Key was did not miss game in college (knock on wood)
Biggest knock - not quite a hands catcher
Where do people get this questionable hands thing from? Just go look up his highlights on YouTube.

I recommend this format because it is easier to read:

Beasley
Height: 5077
Weight: 175
40 Yrd Dash: 4.49
20 Yrd Dash: 2.66
10 Yrd Dash: 1.57
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 17
Vertical Jump: 38
Broad Jump: 10'06"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.40
3-Cone Drill: 7.16

Switzer
Height: 5084
Weight: 181
40 Yrd Dash: 4.51
20 Yrd Dash:
10 Yrd Dash:
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 11
Vertical Jump: 32
Broad Jump: 09'07"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.00
3-Cone Drill: 6.77
Suprised Beasley out benched him Ryans pretty buff! Not suprised at Beaslies vert! Once u can dunk, u keep dunking and theres nothing that improves the vert like jumping! Beasly can swing on the rim at 5' 8, I see it all the time at Venice so doesnt suprise me a bit!

I see a cross between Chris hogan and Amedola although he does have some Beasley and Edelmen-esque traits. I personally like to think of him as the Jeff Heath of the offense

There is a reason why teams always try to get the ball in the hands of a great punt returner, in the open field they are very slippery.

Bease is the better WR right now, but get the ball in Switzer's hands and you could see something special. We even tried to invent ways to get it into Lucky's hands to tell you what I mean. For years they tried to make Hester a WR, just to use those skills with ball in hand.

A returner who can actually run routes and get open, is a weapon. Its why he was drafted, and why he's different than most of the guys listed here.

Well Lucky can't run routes so we had to run a jet sweep for him. But no, thats not a preferred play for me other than for diversion for this team cause we don't have anyone that can run it with that much all out speed.

Switzer has phone booth moves, but its not like he's John Ross or Tyreek Hill. Switzer can actually run routes and can be deadly on a WR screen.

Yes Beasley cant just dunk, he can windmill dunk. His athleticism may be under sold in this thread.
