Is there a way to disable videos from playing every time I enter a website. Whenever I click on various websites, videos start playing commercials or news stories that I am not interested in. I usually have to wait until the commercial ends before I can even stop the next video as there is not a pause or stop button.

It gets annoying.

I use google chrome as my browser if that is any help

In your address bar type ... chrome://flags

In the search box type .. autoplay

Then select the option ... Document user activation is required

You will then need to relaunch your browser one time for the changes to take effect.

Settings
Advanced
Site settings
Media
Autoplay
Make sure it says blocked... If it does not, click on it and hit switch on left to change it to blocked.

I do not see "Site Settings" in my version of Chrome. Are you sure that's the computer/desktop version?

Vimans link worked for me. Will that stay activated tho when I reboot? brain, I could not find the site settings on my PC.

Thanks Guys....

There are also some other settings in same general area.

Pop up ads - Blocked

Ads - Blocked from some sites

Sound - allow OR mute sound from sites that play sounds
