Concerned About Dan Bailey?

At some point, all players get older and start to decline.

I'm just hoping that dreaded time hasn't come yet for Bailey.
Let's hope for DB's star to keep shining for a long time to come!

Man... I remember Mike Vanderjagt was the best kicker in the league for years in Indy. He missed a fg in the playoffs that could've sent the game into ot and he never recovered. He came to Dallas and he was never the same. I hope Bailey is not going down this road because it will take Jerry and Garrett about 3 games where Bailey misses multiple kicks before they would make a move.

They said he kicks 8 field goals every practice on The Break, so missing one is kind of a big deal.

I don't know why I thought kickers get more practice in than that, seems like a dream NFL job.
Could also be him trying a different approach to see how it works. It's practice. For Bailey he must feel comfortable and wants to keep an edge about him

I've actually been worried sick about him since the end of last season. Kickers can easily go south.....love the guy but YES, put me in the ANCY group....

He's fine....he has ice water in his veins and when it's on he will also be...

Yep. Said it last year. The guy has been absolute money...but for kickers, the cliff is always right around the corner. The fall is sudden. Not saying you get rid of him but the team should have 1-2 guys in camp they would be comfortable signing later on in case of Bailey completely falling apart.

That would prolly involve a ' good ol' boy' buddy gifting of a nondescript brown paper bag with about 100k of green geeters banded together,,,,as thru desperation, leveraged power plays are birthed,,,er,,,ya know?

I always said that the day I have a son that can walk is the day I start teaching him to kick field goals.

Minimal injury risk, no hard hits, the potential to become a legend, and if he became good, could eaen himself several million dollars.

I had 3 daughters, so..... It wasn't in the cards.

There comes a time when every good kicker loses his magic. I used to kick some pretty long balls playing soccer and people told me to try out a a Giants kicker. I never did as Tony Meola (USA Goalie) never made it to the pro football although he tried. Then came a year I just lost something and couldn't kick as far and that happened in a very short time. I couln't put a finger on it, I attributed to my body mechanics changing. There are times a great base ball hitter suddenly can't hit any more. It happens to them all.
