but 5.4 yds per attempt, good Lord a RB can do that on a good night. With the time he had to throw even you could have accomplished that. lol

Foolish exaggerations do not prove a point.

Romo played pretty good considering the defensive front that he was playing against and the fact that he suffered some sort of a rib injury in the first half.

Not sure most people on this board could go through even their day to day activities with a rib injury, let alone QB in an NFL game.

Posters should have to take a football IQ test prior to being allowed to post.

Do you even watch other NFL games?

I'm no football guru, but some things posted in this thread are ridiculous.

We won and had many positives.
Were we perfect? No.
Can we improve? .. sure.

We beat a good team, with a good defense, and a very good QB.

Enjoy it for a while, and then get ready for the Chiefs, ... that's how it works in the NFL.

Yeah, because in order to be a FAN and voice an opinion, you should have to pass a football IQ test. I can't imagine how few fans the game would have if that were the case, but nice insult there at fans who don't share your opinions.

The Giants showed that you don't need a good running game in order to walk up and down the field on someone.

This is true. It further strengthens the point I tried to make in the OP, I think. I just don't think this team, Garrett's offense and Romo jive together. Let the guy be who he is, he just isn't a pocket passer.

So Eli is praised for putting up big stats but throwing 3 picks including the one that killed his team. He's praised for doing almost nothing for 3 quarters but then padding his stats when way down and almost bringing his team back before blowing it.

And Romo is criticized for being a game manager and letting the defense win it while playing half the game w busted ribs.

Got it

Eli wasn't exactly great, but we can't concern ourselves with Eli, he's not our QB.

LOL, thanks for making my case.

But actually, I didn't say to be a FAN! ... And I didn't say they have to share my opinion. So not sure what to tell you.

I'm just suggesting to many of these posters, just do us all a favor, .. watch the game, .. watch other games, .. listen to post-game interviews of winning and losing coaches, post-game interviews from winning and losing QB's, listen to the broadcasters comments.

Then you can learn enough not to spout off and post stuff that is incorrect.

"spout off"?

Dude, I'll say whatever the hell I want to say, whether you agree with it or not. Your little insults to those who don't share your opinion aren't dripping with football IQ either. Also, you don't have a case, you think people need to pass a football IQ test to post on a fan forum. Last I checked, this forum was for fans.

Great advice. Seriously. You can find threads here before the game where people were convinced our Dline was worthless and Wilson and the Giants run game were gonna shred us. They got 50 yards and fumbled twice. LOL

Relax "Dude", ... you read my first post wrong and now you read my last post wrong.

I said, "I'm suggesting to many of these posters", .. not you.

I was not talking to or about you, .. you interjected yourself into this.

The thing is though, I'm the OP and your post was not quoting anyone in particular. In most cases that means you're replying to the OP.

Maybe posters should pass a Forum IQ test before being allowed to post ;)

Exactly, .. I will always "quote" someone if I am responding directly to them.

Otherewise I am making a general statement.

That's the extent of my forum IQ.

I will try to be a little more specific in the future for those that have a hard time following along.

I actually thought Romo the QB was fine and did the best he could with what he had (also thought he was clearly affected by the injury). But Romo the offensive coordinator (along with Callahan and Garrett) sucked horribly. Unless the Giants end the season ranked number one in D, this was just an awful effort from the passing game and the offense overall.

Works for me. Just saying, most people are going to assume you're replying to the OP if you don't quote someone directly, especially when you made the claims you did about football IQ, no one knows who that is directed at automatically.

Not if it is the 54th post on Page 3.

If I am directing it at you, .. you will know.

I rather him be gun shy than risk the INT.

i agree. romo has matured. in the past he would have forced things. i thought romo played a great game. he did take a sack that he should'nt have. he should have thrown it away but thats the warrior in him wanting to make a play. but he did'nt force plays and his only int was the recievers fault

Well, if it's on page 3 then it's even more confusing if you're not quoting someone. I mean, I make general statements which aren't pointed at any poster but if you're actually questioning someone, whether that be football intelligence or whatever, but aren't quoting anyone, then one can only assume it's directed at the OP. I apologize for getting offended, but I think everyone is entitled to share their views whether they've played the game themselves or are just joe couch potato.

Sorry to confuse you, but I "don't quote someone" quite a lot.

You can stop doing that, .. because that is not the case.

Mine was just a general statement, .. I didn't quote anyone or point out anyone in particular, on purpose, .. so as not to offend them, ruffle feathers, or single them out.

But some of the wrong stuff being spewed by some posters was explained in the post-game.

Like I said earlier, I'm no guru, .. I'm just asking some to pay attention, educate yourself, .. then your posts aren't empty and foolish.

The IQ test will never happen, .. but I would be for it.
