This was quite an interesting read I found this morning on a potential find in recent concussion research to lessen the brain damage caused by a knock to the head which yes basically bruises the brain as it contacts the skull but also causes slight tears in important membranes surrounding the brain which in turn allow for more damage to occur before the body begins healing.
