It all started with not kicking that FG, Dan. This is the playoffs; that crap in the season means nothing. You kick the FG and negate the points SF put up, keeping a three score lead with a good part of the third quarter burned. The defender had an INT dropped and Gibbs fumbled, but that’s where it started.

I believe the whole tenor of the game would be different. They would not have given up a quick touchdown to SF if they were up three score. I think mental aspects of the game are as important as anything and giving up the ball there gave SF hope which is exactly what they needed.
