I don't know about the second part.

I do agree that he is a much better player than most people realize because Garrett is guilty of really underusing him so far. The guy averaged 9 ypc in 2008 and 6 ypc in 2009. He probably would have averaged closer to 7 ypc if not for the knee injury. You just don't sit a guy like that on the bench - especially when he proves that he can pickup the blitz and is a good receiver out of the backfield.

I do wonder what kind of numbers Felix puts up next year as the #1 RB.

A special talent! It's sure nice to have a blitz killer and big time cat like Felix!

Very funny how some folks wanted to give up on him since he had injuries. When you have speed and talent like that, you give him as much time as he needs.

I agree. I love what Barber has done for the franchise, but I think with the uncapped year next year, I wouldn't be surprised to see Barber and/or Flozell released in order to sign Miles Austin to a long-term deal. Hamlin isn't a sure thing either.

Flo and Barber are on the bubble. I would get rid of Barber if for no other reason to force Garrett not to play him. i would lean towards trying to trade Flo as he still can play but I think Free is better.

Hamlin's deal isn't that bad and he has played better this year than in 2008. I wish he would get some more picks but he is a steady player, a good tackler and okay in coverage. It is not like we have anyone better to put on the field so I'm not in a huge rush to get rid of him anymore.

More like trade. You could get top draft picks for both players, at least a 3 and maybe a 2.

Trust me, I do physical medicine. Felix's injuries are all flukes.

Pulled a hamstring - who hasn't at his position?

Torn tendon on a toe while running - that's just a freak injury. Hard to explain that one without knowing how he got hurt.

Strained PCL in the knee when he landed funny after being tackled in the Giants game. I don't think I've ever seen that before. That is just an oddball injury.

People act like Felix is weak and fragile but he runs with nice lean and power when he is in between the tackles and shows great feet and agility in the hole. His ability to go fullspeed when he sees daylight is really good. There is no way you break as many runs as he does in this league without special vision and acceleration. I think there are others who have a higher top speed but he is special in his burst.

Even when we're winning and everyone is happy, some of you have takes that really suck. I'm not naming names.

Agreed. Unbelieveable, really.

I hope it's not me you guys are talkin' about. I was just commenting on a post's response about Barber and his future. Obviously there's plenty of time to discuss that after we win the Super Bowl, but it's all for discussion guys.

Same here. I was upset with the pick on draft day, but I figured I would give him a chance and he never disappointed.

I thought Johnson would be a bust though, and I wanted Ray Rice or Mendenhall. I'm happy with Felix though. Especially over Mendenhall.

Of the 487 running backs who have come into the NFL since 1950 and had at least 145 carries in their first two seasons, Felix has the highest average yards per carry at 6.51.

And Tashard Choice ranks 20th at 5.26.
