Save your lectures for somebody who cares what you have to say or just shut up if you can't.

Judging how many posters liked his post, I think I'd say someone does care what he has to say. Just saying. :)

Posts like this make me lose faith in humanity. Good grief...

When I say step down from Kim K. i'm meaning from a pure looks standpoint. Groupies are groupies. I'm not debating qualities that a normal man looks for.

If you say that Miles' new wife looks better than Kim, then I dont know what say. I would lose faith in you. In your manhood.

And everyone is profoundly impressed with your ability to express sexual urges at a moment's notice.

Be respectful of women, or just shut up if you can't.

Oh, get off your high horse, King Chivalry. I've never seen you tell other posters to shut up if they aren't "respectful of men". And since it's 2014 women needn't be held to a higher standard.

But now that you've taken on the role of Manners Police, be sure to visit the next Jerry/Garrett/Romo/Ware thread and offer the same advice to anyone who shows any form of disrespect towards one of them.

Don't defend yourself. I know exactly what you meant and so did everyone else. It's not your fault others feel the need to look down upon you to make themselves feel good. The "high horse" is a popular ride.

Didnt know Kim K was such a villain around here. She may be a nut job, but she's attractive in my book.

Here she is repping the #19. I have a feeling since they are both from the Jersey area, Miles will end up playing with the Giants or Jets next season.

He doesn't have to suggest posters be respectful of men to believe they should be respectful of women. I think his post was right-on.

And since when did basic respect become a 'higher standard?' I think it's just the standard, isn't it? Last I checked, the standards for this site, for example, included a requirement that posts not include sexually insensitive discussions or comments. "I'd hit *it*" is not respectful, and it is insensitive. It's not really a 'manners' issue, and it's good that this community recognizes that. For the most part.

What was said about Miles' wife was crude and immature, but it was hardly malicious. And he'd darn well better hold "respect towards men" to the same standard as "respect towards women". That's what equality is all about.

He had a personal issue with a lewd comment so he felt the need to apply his own standard as if he's the rule-maker? Please. "Basic respect"? Seriously? Jerry Jones has been disrespected every which way on this site. Much of it has been personal and crude. Things that might bring him to tears. Things that might bring his wife to tears. I read tons of disrespectful ageist jokes directed at Monte Kiffin all the time. Sorry for not realizing the board's HR department was so mindful of sexually insensitive remarks. I mean, ageist remarks seem to be perfectly fine. In fact, most posters who wanted Kiffin canned alluded to his old age in one way or another when providing a reason. Our players are called "soft" and things far, FAR worse. Unless you can give me a very good reason why all these other displays of disrespect are fair game but this poster's one comment about Miles' wife isn't okay, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

I was referring to the looks portion of your comment. Defining the quality of a significant other by based on looks compared to someone else is ridiculous and childish. What that essentially is saying is Miles shouldn't love this woman because there might be better looking women out there. That's just flat out ridiculous.

Because looks are all that matter in a relationship.

Keep on keeping on, tough guy.

We can agree to disagree. Keep your opinions within the site guidelines, and that's all it is, but just know I personally don't have a lot of tolerance for sexually insensitive commentary.

You probably can guess how I feel about other blatant disrespect towards members of the organization. As long as that remains within guidelines, though, it's another matter entirely.

Then he can lecture them then. I really could care less about how many likes anybody has.

Someone posted a picture of Miles Austin's wife on a Cowboy's forum. I made a comment about it. If his or your panties are in a wad over it then I guess you'll just have to get over it.

Sure my comment was immature, but it was to be considered as a lighthearted joke in a forum where we talk about our favorite football team. If he thought that was bad, surely he has voiced his concern at the many other numerous comments that have disrespected men on this forum. For some reason, I doubt that's happened though.

I'm still laughing at that fact that someone told me to shut up over a message board. That takes some serious gumption right there, lol.

On a serious note and back on topic: I am happy for Miles. He has always been one of my favorite players after he came on in 2009. As many here have said, if it weren't for the injuries I'd love to see the Cowboys try and keep him for a good while longer.

First, it's couldn't care less.

Second, the point of raising the likes was to rebute your comment that no one cares. People DO care what he writes, which is why they "liked" his comment. Thus, your opinion is in error and isn't back up by observable facts.

Apparently, your panties are in a wad based on your defensiveness.

Excusing bad behavior by pointing to other bad behavior. A very trite diversionary tactic.

No, it doesn't. It simply requires someone typing "shut up." :)

See, you have moments of maturity also, as we all do. :)
