Anyone who can hit a garbage can with a football from that far away while throwing it through two (2!) windows will never survive on the practice squad.

Never!

for surviving todays cuts! have a great game Thursday to assure your spot on the roster!

They usually keep the QBs for the final game when the starters rest.
Congrats anyway.
The kid is fun to watch.
It won't surprise me if he's on the PS though

I don't get what everyone is seeing in this guy.

He'll probably be a practice squad guy, but his presence wouldn't stop me from drafting a mid round QB to groom next season.

You obviously aren't as big of a Tanney fan as I am if you haven't seen his you tube video...

Sorry, but that video has absolutely nothing to do with what goes on on a football field on Sundays, and to imply that an NFL front office is going to sign someone to their 53-man roster solely based on a YouTube video is preposterous. If Tanney plays well in this last game, then MAYBE a team will try to scoop him up based on his preseason play. I'm sure they care about that trick shot video as much as they care how he ties his shoes.

I'm pretty sure that if he can hit that garbage can, he can hit Dez in the endzone in the super bowl.

I say keep him. We're gonna need him when Romo and Orton get benched for throwing an interception. Heck, we might even need a 4th,5th, and 6th QB as well. :D

It's impossible to need a 4th, 5th, or 6th QB in that scenario because Tanney will never throw an interception.

I guess you're right, It would be rather difficult for him to throw an interception from his couch, I'm not even sure if that's possible. :D

I hope he doesn't make it...the guy does nothing for me. We shouldn't keep any random young QB (and he's not even young anymore compared to a true rookie) just for the sake of it.

Whatever people think, the guy's made it a legitimate question whether or not we keep 3 QBS. That's an accomplishment.

It's going to come down to that last spot. If he plays well, it'll be between him, the 5th S, and the 7th LB. If he's cut, I wouldn't count on him making it to our PS. When the Bills are starting a guy named Jeff Tuel, an undrafted FA out of WASH ST in week one, that tells you how thin the QB market is in this league. Now, losing him is likely to not be that much of a loss... he'd be lucky to be the next Ryan Fitzpatrick, much less the next Tony Romo, but that's still a lot of value to give up just to save that 7th LB (who also happens to be a player you can possibly get on your PS, btw).

Do you even realize how many times he had to throw that pass. You are only seeing the one time he made it, not all of the attempts. Hell, I can do the same thing given enough attempts. Since you are so big on Tanney do you realize that we picked him up as a free agent? Do you even know that he was with the Chiefs last year? Do you know that he was undrafted last year?

We should offer Orton or Tanney for anyone on their interior line. Ortons been a starter in this league. I don't see why we wouldn't improve ourselves on the line being as it's the most important factor in determining the teams success.

Bills have their own Tanney in Jeff Tuel. They're pretty happy with him as an undrafted FA. It'd have to be Orton, and we're not going to trade Orton this season.
