Conner Williams

That is very impressive but not surprising. The desire and effort he showed to re-invent himself and stop being a victim was even more impressive. The sight of him on one knee, crying because of the realization he'd just made his dream come true was my favorite moment in the draft. Connor left that bullied kid behind but not forgotten. His story is going to be told a lot and serve as an inspiration to many young people that have experienced what he did.

I am going to be honest here some people have all tge luck... I am jealous....

Post of the day. :yourock::bow:

what excites me about Williams is I know the kid has the talent and now he will be surrounded by some great guys who are also great players. You got 3 #1's on the OL and now Williams a 2nd rd. I think this OL is going to rock

I dont get it. Did i miss something? He was bullied?
Yes, they were telling his story right after he was drafted. He was a really chunky kid and had no friends and decided if the bullying was going to stop, he had to make that happen himself so he became a gym rat dedicated to rebuilding himself.

I knew his story at UT because some people where I live know his family and they said Connor has served as an inspiration to others in his family and those who know him.

It's a great story and very timely with so many kids that are "different" being mistreated by other kids that are adult aholes in training.
