Well, that settles it. Someone should alert the other 31 teams in the league so they can stop screwing up by drafting starters in the 2nd round.

You proved my point with Chido, but I'll give you Gregory, Lawrence, and Lee as long as we can acknowledge the actual context. There are two things at play here:

1. A strategy of drafting injured players in the 2nd round knowing that they may need half a season or more to recover.
2. A coaching philosophy of rotating rookies with "bridge players" even when the rookies are outplaying the starters on a consistent basis.

Don't act like you don't remember Sean Lee's rookie year. You won't find another team in the league that would have started Keith Brooking over Lee the way Lee was playing.

Lets say we do bench Williams, just for the sake of discussion. Who are you gonna start? Su'a Filo is not going to be the answer IMO. He's not a LG, that guy is a RB. He doesn't have the mobility.

Opinions on performance aside, the time to address this was during the Offseason, not now IMO.

You posted "LOL" and that 2nd round picks were obviously instant starters. I said name a rookie starter that contributed and you trotted out guys like DLaw and Gregory we never started as rookies, much less made an impact.

Its stupid **.

If it gets any worst I wouldn't mind giving Joe Looney a shot.

I do agree that the offseason 2018 was the time to address this. If they knew Connor was gonna be a project back in 2018 they should of signed someone at least somewhat proven at guard and let Connor ride the bench while he not only learns the playbook but puts on some size.

You're right. Second round picks don't normally start in their rookie seasons in the National Football League. :rolleyes:

Seriously, maybe follow another team once in a while so you know how the NFL actually works?

I would play Looney before Sua-Filo for sure. But what they need way more than anything is to just be healthy enough to be on the field and to take reps together as a unit.

Well, the team did draft the Penn State kid so they did do something there. They probably didn't figure on him being on the shelf so early.

The problem with starting Looney is that you might need him at Center this year. Fredbeard is coming back and there is no guarantee he's going to last the entire season. He's struggling now, he gets nicked up and who knows how long he can go. That factors into it as well, I'm sure. The other thing is that Williams has to play to get better. I don't think he's playing nearly as poorly as some you do but whatever. At this point, I think the writing is on the wall. Williams is our starting LG.

lol you didn’t watch the same tape, Connor barely touches Fred guys maybe one hand then realizes that he was suppose to pickup the blitz, but it’s to late the Blitzer is to his outside left and his supposed tackle feet can’t get him to slide fast enoguh. This forces Dak to release the ball.

His so called help on Fred didn’t move the DT .00000000001 inch.

The only way to know how the offense and defense fared individually is to look at time of possession for each drive.

im saying that more of the goal then the D saying oh well the O can keep scoring even if we cant do our jobs.. most defenses say that is their job and their goal give up zero points more then simply slow the offense down enough for our O to keep up..

this defense is giving up 18-21 point in the first half!! thats BAD..i realize there are reasons but we can both agree its been more of an issue in big games and playoffs, ie Defense is letting us down more then the offense..they've been horrible in the playoffs.. TOP is the key and by giving up a lot of yards we are losing TOP..

Yes we won TOP but gave up huge chink plays instead..so either way the d is falling apart at critical times

so 90% of post seem to be blaming or making excuses for the offense when in reality its bit of the entire team making mistakes..

I watched the tape posted. What time frame are you suggesting, I watched the 3:40 to 3:45 time mark. What you are saying here is wrong, if that's the time stamp you are referring to. For the record, the pressure in Dak's face is right up the middle on Fredbeard. It doesn't come from William's man.

Dak releases the ball and it's complete downfield. I mean, I really don't even understand why this play is singled out. The OL did their job here. What does this play prove? To me, it proves that that the OL won on that play. I don't get it?

Exactly i was like where are the chip blocks and etc. Its like Garrett always says. It doesnt matter if they know whats coming as long as we excute we should win. Well Garrett this is not the 1990s and this sure aint the 1990s cowboys teams.

I have no interest in watching every play. I just know your analysis is typically rose colored and you will blame anyone but the players.

I also know you thought Chaz Green had lots of Talent even after 3 years of watching him play.
