Until the defense becomes more of a shut down unit this team will have problems. When the offense is not clicking on all cylinders. Marinelli just needs to be gone. I hope he proves me wrong this year.

I think Marinelli’s biggest issue is personnel. They insist on Heath. They insist on Lewis being a bench guy. The insisted that Collins play the 1. Jones playing safety. Crawford playing DE which is a crime. Taking Taco over Watt because Watt didn’t fit the scheme. That is a crock btw because Watt can play anywhere. Drafting Hill instead of one of the Safeties. The list is long. Lots of mistakes.
 
All of the great defenses in NFL history have been described as big, physical, and strong or mean, tough, and nasty. So if they want a better defense then they need to start drafting big, physical, strong, mean, nasty, tough players.

So if a player doesn't fit those descriptions then don't draft him.
 
We gave up 17 points...7 of which came when it didn't matter a single bit...while I don't think the defense played incredible it was the first game back and they will find form. While the Giants might be overall a terrible team their o-line isn't half bad which negated a lot of our passrushing.

We'll be fine.
 
Yeah they need to perform. Lord knows Prescott can't carry the weight, like some elite QBs
 
Eli was getting the ball out quick to stymie the pass rush. I don’t care who’s playing DE, they aren’t getting there in 1-2 seconds

The run defense is what concerned me, but they were going against Barkley. He embarrasses everyone
 
everyone has to complain about something. they kept them out of the endzone. thats their job. you can have 3000 yards, but only points matter.

Our D allowed the Giants 3 out of 14 3rd and 4th down conversions. We stopped them roughly 80% of the time. And we stopped them 50% of the time in the red zone. Very efficient in the categories that count.

Just the 1st game of the season. When we have recent film on the other teams, then the yards allowed should decrease dramatically.

we gave up 300 yards in second half....we gave up less than 200 yards when the score was 28-10...then we played prevent defense. R-E-L-A-X
