I can totally see it being true though, and here's why. Tags is sitting there thinking "Been a pretty good career. I'm totally underrated by those yokel fans. I ought to pull some kinda prank. Something nobody finds out until I tell them on my deathbed. Just a little reminder "Hey I'm the all powerful Tags who changed the league". A little HoF lore....

Don't feel too bad MC KOas. If the Saints win Sunday in the 1st game back in the Superdome, as I have predicted, there will be a lot more conspiracy theorists.

I think you should have stopped right there.

:laugh2:

I have a hard time with most NFL conspiracy theories. Except for the Pats winning that first SB. J/k.

I guess in theory the Texans could have taken Bush and traded Davis. I probably would have, even though I am not a strong Bush supporter. Realistically it would have been a perfect time to try to upgrade (Based on salary numbers alone). Although Davis had shown promise and the OL had often disappointed (Maybe Kubiak believed his own hype with Brees coming into the fold).

But the Texans D had been far worse than their running game over the tenure of the franchise. Not to mention it seems as if the Texans and Bush were far away from coming to a contract agreement.

I can see where a theory like this can make sense to some people but the problem with all these types of theories in sports is that they would never happen for one simple reason. The risk that it would be discovered is too great. Do you realize how many people would have to be involved in the coverup of a situation like that? Way too many to keep it from getting out and if it ever did the league would be harmed beyond belief. It would take decades to recover from the idea that the league is fixed. Everyone would go back to every little odd occurance and claim the league fixed it that way. I just don't see the people that run such a successful league taking the chance on screwing things up.

I think conspiracy theories ought to be reserved for politics and QB controversies.

If the league was gonna go to the trouble they would make Houston pick Mario and make NO trade that pick for a 2nd rounder to the Giants so they could get Bush in the NY market.

so i would doubt it

haha they already used the NO thing to advance the Giants they gave them 9 home games last year!!

Why would you or should you get blasted??? Your theory may be well grounded. I believe your deft assessment is credible, and I will let you in on another juicy tidbit... Reggie Bush is an alien from the Planet Meerkat - 4th rock out in Alpha Centauri!

Being a mere 4 million light years apart this is a stone's throw from our solar system, in cosmic terms. What better way to infiltrate the most powerful and technologically gifted nation in the world than to crawl into the underbelly of our nation's obsession -football.

That stated, a respected colleague of mine also theorizes Reggie hails from the Lost Continent of Atlantis. I have to admit this makes sense that the Saints backdoored the acquisition since New Orleans is so flood prone....

The reports about Bush's family getting money from agents and the fact he lied to them over the allegations is the reason they balked on taking him.
