No thanks .....lol
Agreed. He's a No. 3 at this point, but will be looking for No. 2 money.I’d pass. Cooks has been in decline since 2020. He is still good enough to have a role but the goal should be to improve this offseason. We already have rotational guys down the roster in Turpin/Tolbert. Let’s go get an actual #2 guy.
If McMillan drops to 12 do they take him?Time for a potential upgrade. A receiver will be coming. Either through free agency or the draft or even trade.
They might. He is in the mix.If McMillan drops to 12 do they take him?
I have to say it again. All fingers keep coming back pointing to McCarthy. The evidence of his mismanagement of players during his time in Dallas only continues to grow. There are many reasons I keep saying he should have been gone after GB. This is another one. At least he is gone now."I would love to play with the Cowboys, at the same time they would have to use me right. I don’t think they fully used me to my strengths."

Per Nick Harris, it’s Tet or Mykkel Williams at this pointIf McMillan drops to 12 do they take him?
I think Jeanty is more of a sure thing and contributes snap 1 of day 1. McMillan is likely good too. But I think a guy like DK or even Kupp would make a better #2 option where they sit in their career archs.Cooks is cooked. I’d for sure take McMillian at 12. How bout this it’s unlikely but a few mocks I did had he and Jeanty there at 12.
What do you do then ? I say go with the WR as RB is deeper
If I had faith the cowboys would spend in FA I may could see that but I feel disappointment coming on FA frontI think Jeanty is more of a sure thing and contributes snap 1 of day 1. Think what even a Thielen could have done here vs Tolbert or Cooks. This leans my pick toward Jeanty.
I'm just the opposite. Under an assumed new and much better coach-scheme, i'd love to see what the speedy Cooks can really do.I’d pass. Cooks has been in decline since 2020. He is still good enough to have a role but the goal should be to improve this offseason. We already have rotational guys down the roster in Turpin/Tolbert. Let’s go get an actual #2 guy.
An actual no. 2 who could drop into the no. 1 role if Lamb goes down.I’d pass. Cooks has been in decline since 2020. Certainly possible its just been a case of bad luck for Cooks recently, but his yards per route and YAC per catch have both been declining every year since 2020. Personally I would roll the dice on someone new and preferably more suited for Daks strengths instead of a 32 year old whose best asset is his speed.I'm just the opposite. Under an assumed new and much better coach-scheme, i'd love to see what the speedy Cooks can really do.
He's been so badly mis-schemed by our coaches since he's arrived.
McCarthy seemed to want him as a possession guy ..when he 's a speed guy, who should be used on-the-move,.. not running damn stop routes and comeback routes.
Ironically Mac and coaches have mis-chemed several players here, .. and Cooks definitely one of them.
Many keep talking about acquiring Lockett, when Cooks is just the same type and skill set. if he were here in Dallas under McCarthy , Lockett himself
also would have been badly mis-schemed as well.
- Felt bad for Cooks, who departed the Houston Texans at the wrong time - just before QB CJ Stroud arrived.
- what does concern me was Cooks knee issues ( missed games cuz of it) and that Dak woefully could not connect with Cooks when he broke wide open on fly- go routes
... .. overthrew him every single time.
