Nope. Dak didn't play well yesterday but there is no QB who is successful in that game. First drive encapsulates this entire offense.

1. Run for no yards.
2. Isolate MG13 and make him beat man coverage, which he can't.
3. 3rd and long

There is no chance for a QB to be successful in this system because the system itself is totally flawed.
The good ones figure out a way. How long can we keep excusing bad play?

Yall remember that pass to Gallup when we were backed up against our end zone?

Dude lobbed a go-route pass
It honestly reminded me of the original Tecmo Bowl, when you would retreat to the back of your end zone and throw it 100 yards to the opposite end of the field as a hail mary.
Ball would disappear out of view for about 3-4 seconds and all you could hear was the sound effect of the ball traveling through the air

that's what that pass looked like.

I would use the word shameful but that wouldn't cover it. I think sad is a better description.
Just sad that is what we are trotting out these days on prime time TV. What's shameful is that there are still people defending it.

Whoever decided that brandin cooks was a better fit than DeAndre Hopkins needs to be fired. Hopkins was the perfect fit for this slant oriented offense and we went with a guy who’s nothing but a deep threat. Because our deep threat guy doesn’t run slants, we’re running them with a guy (Gallup) who runs like he’s stuck in mud and has 1980 shoulder pads on. We miss you Amari

Also, a quick shoutout to the non productive 2023 draft class.
While that may be true Hopkins wanted money that was insane to pay at this point of his career. Of all people that had the ability to pay it for Jerry not to pay it tells you something. Hopkins listing a half a dozen teams that "didn't want him" means he wanted too much. No one goes to the Titans to catch balls from Ryan Tanehill at this point in their career. He got paid.

His long passes looked like punts. He doesn't have a strong arm or touch so he lofts it up and hopes his WRs can come down with it.
Ya and the Cowboys don't have a Dez Bryant that can go up and grab those floaters either.

If you think they have no chance of winning, why bother?

Cowboys' fans desire to lose is crazy.
being politely honest, from my vantage point the only people who seem to desire to lose are those still defending Dak.

He's a damned loser. Nothing more, nothing less.
Time to cut bait and move on. Anyone who wants him to continue to be "the guy" isn't prioritizing Cowboys victories.
Period.

not the problem, but definitely part of it. Gallup is probably a #4 or 5 WR on most teams in the NFL. He's a straight line route runner and it's clunky. My original post was about us being a slant oriented offense with non slant oriented WR's. Amari and Hopkins are the types you need for this style.

Wrong. Half this board would rather Dallas lose so that they could be right about Dak.

I never said that. They just need to move on from Dak. I've seen the worse of the worse of QBs from Quincy until Romo gave us a respite. My love for the team is stronger than my love for a certain player.

They're already obviously right.
Some just won't admit it.

If you ain't seen it yet, you're never gonna, because you're emotionally invested in something that isn't real.
You're Jerry Jones, without the billion dollar bank account.

The idea that you think you can be right is why you are dumb. There is no "right" and "wrong" to you people, because you speak in unprovable platitudes.
Like, "Half this board wants Dallas to lose so they can be right about Dak", for example?
