1) is Cooks better than Amari Cooper right now?
2) is cooks a smallish speed guy that gets open the best fit for this offense?
3) who would you rather have cost-wise?
4) can Cooks get 1k yards?
5) can he run jets and quicks?

No
Doubtful he"s the guy but a needed skill for this O
Parris Campbell or Mack Hollins or Cooper original contract
No
Maybe. More so quicks than jets

1) Cooks and Cooper are on a similar level.
2) A player who routinely catches 80-90 passes for 1,000 yards is a good fit for any offense, as he has showed by doing it for multiple teams in multiple schemes.
3) For what we're paying, I'm not sure that we could get better than him. Some of you want players who may have the potential to be better but certainly haven't realized that potential.
4) Why not? He got it the previous two seasons and it appears he would have again this year if he had not missed four games.
5) He's succeeded some with both.

I was not in favor of trading Amari because we didn't have a suitable replacement. Cooks is a suitable replacement. Considering that we got a fifth for Cooper and traded a fifth and sixth for Cooks, I guess the price of getting a similar-quality receiver on a lesser contract is a future sixth-rounder.

No
He’s a good fit
Cooper
Unlikely
He’s good at getting open. Short. Intermediate. And deep
so your would rather have Cooper at 23 million than cook at 12 million? Lol

its to the point where anything you say in regard to wrs its the opposite.

1) I give the edge to Cooper, but Cooks is solid
2) Yes, Cowboys need speed at WR bad
3) Cooks either way
4) No, McCarthy wants to focus on the run and Gallup will be healthier
5) Yes, but Cooper is a great route runner

Cooper was inconsistent and cost too much, so I am glad he is gone.

I am not sure Cooks is the WR solution either, but for the price he is worth a shot.

Yeah, Cooks, and it's not close at those numbers.

Very similar but I'll give the nod to Amari.

Yes, we have needed a burner forever.

Cooks is an absolute steal at 6 mill vs 23 lol

4. Absolutely.

5. Can run...2nd most 20 + yard catches in last 5 years inly to Tyreke.

Spin away.

Yep, not even close. for whatever reason he thinks Cooper is god. I think he went off the deep end once we dumped him. Lost all sense of reason.

This was the problem. Cooper was getting paid to be the No. 1 receiver in 2021, but he didn't play up to the contract. Dallas had a choice to make, pay a younger receiver coming off a major injury in hopes that you lock up the No. 2 spot for years or hope that Cooper would play up to his contract. Dallas went with the younger receiver, but had a very poor plan in place for A) having a quality third receiver and B) the younger receiver needing time to get back to full health.

I'm glad to see that the plan this year isn't just to hope Gallup gets back to full stride and Tolbert/Houston develop. Dallas did not compound its mistake by repeating it. Instead, it went and got a quality No. 2/No. 3 receiver for a fairly cheap price. I don't understand why some are knocking that. This front office often deserves criticism, but it seems sometimes some go out of the way to criticize it no matter what.

Not getting the comparison cooks wasn’t brought here to be the 1

Compare cooks to Gallup because lamb is our 1

But to answer question cooper is probably better when he wants to be interested

1- Cooper is better
2- No, I still rather have Cooper
3- Cooper. You can't make a baby by making nine women pregnant one month each. 3 average to good WRs are not equal to a WR1.
4- no,
5- quick. He maybe good in the slot

They need to rip this page out of the playbook, or at least move it toward the back, and not use it so often. That quick pass to the outside as well.
Unless MM can somehow make them work and disguise them better.

Cooper was a good player, but for some reason people on this site grossly overrate him.
Extremely overrated, I don’t get it. These guys made a career putting up the same numbers so it really makes no sense in this situation. Better than Gallup and James Washington.. yes. Better than Cooks.. nope.
