Cooper had 1100 and 9 tds last year and you guys are so bitter you think he’s N. Brown. Some people in here going as far to say that he had a poor season last year. Get a clue. Cooks isn’t close to cooper. If you want to talk about value bc of the price for this season, sure. But don’t make up stories that they’re equal players, they’re not

Look at the overall teams and QB's as that has / had a lot to do with productivity. Browns had a much better and more complete offense. Cooper was helped out with a run game as well.
I am not saying which WR is better. I would take either one. But there are circumstances as to comparing stats.

Cooks didn’t put up 1100 and 9 w Tom Brady. He’s not as good as cooper.

1) is Cooks better than Amari Cooper right now?
2) is cooks a smallish speed guy that gets open the best fit for this offense?
3) who would you rather have cost-wise?
4) can Cooks get 1k yards?
5) can he run jets and quicks?

No
Doubtful he"s the guy but a needed skill for this O
Parris Campbell or Mack Hollins or Cooper original contract
No
Maybe. More so quicks than jets
To me, the real question is- did we get better as a team with the acquisition of Brandin Cooks?
Answer: Yes.

Its become weird atp.

69 catches 865 yards his last season here, yet folks acting like we traded away a prime Michael irvin for a 5th
And still crying about that 5th like the cash wasn’t the sticking point in the negotiations. Browns are a stupid organization and they did this team a huge favor with that trade!

Was Cooks the main WR? Doesn't matter.
That doesn't really prove who is better.
Ok. Nobody in the world of football other than a few people in here think cooks is better than cooper. Give it a rest

What does that even mean? Brady ALWAYS spreads the ball around. He had 1082 yards and 7 TD’s for a team that went to the SB. Everyone knows Gronk was his favorite target…your point makes NOOOOO SENSE!!!!!
Yes. Cooper just puts up better numbers his entire career , year in year out bc he’s not a better player. Good one. Nobody judges players based on production. You are right.

He’s not better than cooper but if he offers a skill set cooper couldn’t…cooper was elite at running routes and getting open that way. Cooks can get open with his speed but also be able to take the top off the defense. They are different with the edge to cooper but with lambs emergence cooks skill set is really needed.

When you factor in we have an improved defense now than when we had cooper - we have the potential to be a much better all around team. Time will tell

Thanks for breaking it down. It’s clear to anyone that isn’t biased.

I loved having Cooper but if given a choice of Cooper for 23 mill a year or Cook at 12 I will take Cook at this stage. Yards, catch %, yard per catch, yac is all about the same stat wise very little difference

Before the trade Cooper was dangling out there for the entire league yet at that price only the dumbest team in football came knocking! lol the numbers aren’t worth the paycheck. Can’t make it any clearer than only one out of 31 showing any interest. The way people talk is every GM should’ve been lined up around the corner! lol

1. We didn’t win squat while he was he here
2. He showed about as much passion as a limp noodle!

The love is truly ridiculous and kinda sad.

Not considering surrounding players/QB play over the past three seasons they look pretty close, receptions per game are equal, Cooper has 2.6 more yards per game and 0.52 more yards per reception. According to Overthecap.com Cooper's salary cap hit is $23.8 M and Cooks is $6 M.

Cooks 44 games 228 receptions 2886 yards 65.6 yards/game 12.66 yards/reception 5.2 receptions/game

Cooper 46 games 238 receptions 3139 yards 68.2 yards/game 13.18 yards/reception 5.2 receptions/game

Thanks for saying 12 because people think he is only getting paid his cap number. Is Cooks 12 million good a this point in his career?

Both WRs have gone over 1150 yards 3 times in their career. Good numbers. solid. But you can’t sell it as more than that.

Dallas has restructured the deal and Cook is actually making 6.3 mill this season and 13.5 next year.
