seems to me like both of their tackles get abused equally.

Their starting left tackle has been hobbled most of the season with knee and ankle injuries. And their starting right tackle has been out practically all season. Aaron Rodgers has been getting pressure from all angles. His pass protection is very weak.

Don't get caught up in the sacks

That's Wade Phillips' advice this week anyway.

Yes, Aaron Rodgers has been sacked 37 times, putting him on pace close enough to setting an NFL record for a season, but Phillips is more concerned with how many points the Packers are scoring (26.9 a game).

"They've overcome a lot of their sacks," Phillips said. "You score, that's the most importnat thing and he doesn't fumble. There's not a lot of the sack/fumbles or getting hit and throwing the ball. It's a lot of 1-yard, 0-yard sacks ... I don't see the affect on them as far as not scoring points."

By my count, 16 sacks directly on the Left Tackle.

Mr. Ware, you table is now ready.

Don't worry. I'm sure Phillips is all over this.

no way, we have far more access on Cowboys Zone then the measly NFL coaches. I mean every single one of us is a self appointed draft expert, talent scout, and recliner chair GM! :) lol

The key is to first keep Rodgers in the pocket so that he does not beat you with his feet. He's a good scrambler and can throw accurately on the run. Once contained though, you can go after him because the play will either end in a sack or an INT. If you don't contain him first he will beat you. Contain him, and he'll hold onto the ball too long and make a bad decision.

Whoa! I do not have a recliner chair, but I still see myself as a successful GM.

I noticed Clifton has not been playing at LT other than a couple games. He is back now, so I hope that doesnt solve some of their issues.

Saw this posted on fantasyguru.com and thought it was preety interesting. Please forgive me if it was already posted. The tool shows sacks vs GB each game and where they came from. If you mouse over the dot it gives a blurb about who obtained the sack and who they beat. There are a few that blame QB for holding ball too long. Lets hope Dallas can put 6-8 sacks on Rodgers Sunday.

what is more amazing is that despite getting sacked a ton, he has only fumbled 4 times and only lost 2. And one of those fumbles was on a bad exchange with center.

Geez. Then when and how do they score?

This almost totally refutes what Wade said in the press conference. It seemed as though he was saying that the sacks don't necessarily affect their scoring since they average so many points.

I'm thinking Coach Phillips was being coy with the media again. He acted like this before the ATL game too. If I'm Aaron Rodgers I'm on high alert.

I can see Wade bringing the house on Sunday.

It may get ugly for the Pack.

That is incorrect, they overcame that in the Bucs game.
