they have yet to score on a drive where he was sacked. an amazing stat...

Not to pile on but they score 3 FG against Detroit on drives he was sacked. 2 FG against Minn (in GB), a FG in the other Minn game, and 2 FG against Stl.

That they haven't scored many TD on drives where he was sacked shouldn't be surprising ... and certainly isn't "amazing" by any stretch. Sacks make it hard to get 1st downs and often come on 3rd down. Sacks kill drives so not scoring TDs when you've had a sack isn't shocking at all.

That's Wade Phillips' advice this week anyway.

Yes, Aaron Rodgers has been sacked 37 times, putting him on pace close enough to setting an NFL record for a season, but Phillips is more concerned with how many points the Packers are scoring (26.9 a game).

"They've overcome a lot of their sacks," Phillips said. "You score, that's the most importnat thing and he doesn't fumble. There's not a lot of the sack/fumbles or getting hit and throwing the ball. It's a lot of 1-yard, 0-yard sacks ... I don't see the affect on them as far as not scoring points."

That's a great comment by Wade, and I didnt expect that given how much he likes his sacks. But he's right they score even if they cant block the passer.

Due to the two teams reputations (come after the passer, and give up sacks) I think GB is going to implement a gameplan that relies on several 3-step drops, and def max protect on long situations.

I'd like to see Dallas come out and play their defense, but show blitz and drop on 3rd and long(s) early on. They're going to be worrying so much about our pass rush that getting them off-balance early with the rush will really open things up for our rush later on in the game.
