Cooper Beebe

The question people need to be asking is CB and Hoffman better than Booker?
No they're not i've watched enough games to know he may have a few hiccups but his big body and his the way he can play in space as far as getting to the 2nd level is better than TJ bass He's bigger than Hoffman in the end you want your starters out there and stop creating controversies because that's what you're trying to do..

Cooper BB was better and he will be better big body lower center of gravity If healthy he is better there's a reason ones a starter and ones a backup Yes TJ and Hoffman played very well in their absence but you will see in the long run when they gel together back together when the starting online is back you'll see with those bigger bodies that have lower anchors will do for this offense....

We also seem to get one snap a game where there's a fumble. Im sure a lot of that is based on Hoffman and Dak not playing as much together. I like Hoffman but Beebe has about 30lbs on him. I haven't watched the film for myself, but it makes sense Beebe is a better run blocker. Hoffman does have a nasty streak, then again so does Beebe.
But he's still a backup but it's nice to see you have depth on this team but let's put the controversy to bed our starters all of them are better than the backups Sans maybe Nate Thomas might be better than Steel and we don't know steel's a great run blocker and that's why he's in there but he's a very big liability against speed pass rushers they eat him up although he was blamed for a lot of that yesterday and that was actually on the tight end like Schoonmaker not doing their job happened to be right on the same side as Steel..

outside of what seems like eternal problems at tackle, Smith is my big concern. He has regressed from his second year. He was not as good last year or so far this year.
After his second year I had him penciled in a real Pro Bowl player for his career
Now? I am getting worried

Well, it hasn’t affected the run or pass game. I’ve seen Tyler Smith get manhandled a fair bit this year too. Beebe didn’t get manhandled a fair bit when he played? Also got to consider the level of the opponent.

I really don’t know if Hoffman is better than Beebe or not.
Pressure did effect the pass game. Our O line struggled protecting Dak at times today.

Dak makes the offensive line look much better than they are. His pocket awareness, decision making and speed at getting the ball out are the difference.

Ok. I missed a sack. I switched to a more competitive game. But, Beebe isn't one of the better centers (yet) and the offense hasn't missed him at all, apparently. This isn't a travis Frederick situation where the whole offense collapses in his absence.
Couldn't enjoy the win all the waythrough, eh?

I kid! I'm just bustin ya. No harm intended! :)

Yea I don't know where this Beebe is so great stuff comes from. We'll, actually I do. It's because he was seen as a draft steal and because guard is so hard to judge people just run with him being good. His pass blocking is actually 44th out of 49 centers.
Beebe has been ok, but really not as good as we wanted him to be. Far from the dominant run blocker that he was billed as during the draft.

There is still room to improve, but while I think he is obviously better than Hoffman who is limited physically, he is probably not going to a pro bowl type player most of the time.

Look, I'm a Dak fan. I don't think you'll find a post from me being negative about him. But I would say his pocket awareness is average at best.

Typically, I would agree. I feel that this year he’s performing better at that aspect of his game. We’ll see if he can sustain it.

I agree with this, Beebe has not been the dominating presence I thought he would be when he was drafted. Still early for both but kind of starting to get the same feeling on Booker. Good players but so far not what I thought they would be. Hopefully they will work there craft and get to that level.

I’ve see all our oline getting manhandled a lil bit yesterday including Tyler
First of all Booker having his first game back it takes a bit to get back in it we just got Smith back and guyton we gotta kind of re-gel I know it's not a word.. It is important that we get our starters all back they are all better than the backup but it's nice that we have backup second fill in but they will need a little bit to get all back working cohesive....

what so many 'experts' HERE keep forgetting about Cooper is how little experience he has at Center
he had not played it in a game until he got to the Boys
there is so much to learn

bceause hes already shown signs. hes not , scrapping by or hoping to keep his job because there is no one better. yes he has little experience and played better than Biadiazz, (i know its spelled wrong) but Beebe came in, understood the job, like D Ware and his position and set out to do the job well. He took it all in, did it and executed. Thats the foundation of a good player who is already years ahead where players are for that position. Hes doing great work for us, we dont need to mess around with it.
