Cool we are using QB ratings now? Dak was 3rd top QB based on rating with a 104.2. Thanks for clarifying
OP didn't say a single word about Dak in his post.

He's just showing that Rush is playing well.

Now, go ahead and tell us some more how Rush playing well makes you happy and all you care about is winning. We believe you.

the truth hurts huh? You would rather Rush fail and Cowboys lose than Rush win and make Dak look bad.

There are apparently these types on both sides of the isle. And it's telling about who they are. Even something like how someone goes about being a fan tells you a lot about someone.

He stated Rush QB ranking was high as if that was the standard we used then of course you posted "Cooper Rush is a top 5 QB." So I added that is all of a sudden we are basing it on QB ranking well then Dak was the 3rd best.

Watching Mahomes against TBay I could only shake my head. His quick release, decisiveness, fearlessness and creativity. Complete command of all he surveys. I've been watching some '92 - '93 games and Aikman showed the same type of thing (minus the ability to run like Mahomes). There was a high level of command and competence.

I'm not sure if we will see that from Prescott until late in the season...if at all. The preseason put him behind the eight ball, and the thumb injury put him in an even worse place. Meanwhile, Rush has established a rapport with the receivers while winning three straight. If Prescott struggles when he returns then this putative controversy could become something real...and dangerous for him.
Aikman played nothing like Mahomes. They are completely different types of players

Let’s face it Rush been lucky. He’s had at least 4 interceptions dropped or called back because of penalties. However he does make a better game manager than Dak.

I never said once that I wanted Rush to fail, quite the opposite actually.

Driving the bus but also making some key 3rd down plays.

4 TD passes in 3 games
3 (or 4?) dropped interceptions
Defense is holding teams to 14 points per game in his starts.
Life is good!

I saw a ranking that had him 26th best.....that's pretty good for a backup!

There is "luck" in many games for QBs each season when it comes to dropped INTs. Penalties themselves often lead to those INTs happening. Simple fact is, they haven't. Rush has done what a backup should do, limit turnovers and don't play hero ball.

I hope Rush’s agent doesn’t take Rush to the market and JJ offers him 4/5 M to ride the bench

Accuracy, arm, decisiveness, quick release and command of the offense. You don't need to run like Mahomes or be read/option oriented to have those.

4th in the league!

Just heard on First Take.

Behind Mahomes, Tua, and Josh Allen.

Thoughts?
My only thought is that I hope Kellen Moore has learned as much as Cooper has. It’s not about just calling all your favorite pass plays and thinking talent will win ot on 3rd and long time after time. If he can call a game and scheme plays to have open receivers and have Rush have this kind of success, then he should work that way with his starting QB. Then gradually call the offense to scheme your QBs strengths.

It really does go to show you how much QB play is dependent on defensive play. It's a different game when you don't feel you have to score on every drive or take a lot of unnecessary chances. It's helped that his mistakes have been negated, but a lot of quarterbacks benefit from drops and penalties so I don't want to dwell too much on that.

Mainly just wanted to point out that we so often put way too much on the QB when the defense is bad or running game isn't working. When they have to make up for those things, it hurts their play.

Let's down play it, since it shines a bad light on our fans and starter.
