I'm a fan. He's earned the backup job and I don't think anyone can argue.

Yeah sign him to a 3 year extension tomorrow.

It's funny. I liked Rush as a rookie and thought he showed the game smarts to be the backup. This year, I thought he deserved to be gone based on his preseason performance. The only thing he had going for him was the Minnesota victory. Of course, winning in the regular season is apparently what he's good at.

Weird how much better our offensive line looks with a qb that can read defenses quickly, process what is happening and gets the ball out FAST.

One of the good things with Dak being out is maybe all the other aspects of this offense get settled for when he comes back. He wasn't the only thing off in that Tampa Bay game.

There may be some things Rush is better at than Prescott, but unless the injuries have permanently messed him up, I think we have enough history to show that he can get the job done if the rest of the offense is good enough. Maybe coming back with a more settled line, Gallup and possibly Schultz back, etc., will be the best thing for him.
