Good for him. He was a good soldier here. Ravens are one of the best run organizations in the league so it's nice to see a solid guy like Rush experience that after all the dysfunction, getting clowned, losing, etc. that's part of being a Cowboy under Jerry.

3-5 with Dak.
4-4 with Rush.

Rush with more TDs and less INTs.

Usually you want a backup QB that, while not as good as your starter, can allow you to keep running the same offense with little adjustments.

Can you imagine a more polar opposite to Lamar Jackson than Cooper Rush?

Agreed.

Sucks that it's such a bad QB draft, and we have so many other needs. It'd really suck to invest a 3rd rounder, for example, on a QB when we still need starters at so many positions.

Jerry will not bring back Lance. As when Dak goes down with another injury. And Trey performs well. It will show how stupid he was to give Dak that contract.

Or, Lance signs somewhere else as a backup, gets an opportunity to start due to injury, and plays admirably. That would show how stupid Jerry was for giving up a 4th, paying 1st money and not playing him for an extended period in a washed year. Which is worse in Jerry’s scary mind?

I am not sure this is the draft to select any QB. I would rather play it out with Dak and if necessary Will Grier as the backup. The upside is when Dak gets injured and misses most of the season, we get a top-5 pick in the 2026 draft which will hopefully have better QB candidates.
