Rush got worse with every game he played. How we won with him in is beyond me. He’s truly a pedestrian QB.I hope we do re-sign Rush. He played well and is obviously a fan favorite. We clearly have the cap space.
Allot of us say the same thing about Dak but we have to put up with him.....Rush got worse with every game he played. How we won with him in is beyond me. He’s truly a pedestrian QB.
That dude is off to bigger and better things leading the Seattle sea dragons or some such nonsense, to a championship in the XFL or whatever reject league that is!!!Bring back DaNooch
I actually hope he comes right back to Dallas. we already know what he’s capable of.
Did Ryan sign with anyone yet?
Remember the Aikman days when we would back him up with a cheap past-his-prime but proven veteran?
With Kellen Moore as Dak‘s primary mentor most of these years, because it was never Romo, I think Matt Ryan is a perfect fit to assist if we’re ever going to see Dak reach the promised land.
I still remember his handshake comment when the Boys demolished the Colts. Good sport, good teamwork and would be great support for Dak off the bench.
because hes a jag@DuncanIso Why hasn't Rush been picked up?
Close to vet minimum, not a million per year. It's interesting we have not resigned him so far. Hell, what is his value, $4-6M?

Cowboys QB Cooper Rush: No 'Bidding War' for Rams to Sign Matthew Stafford Backup?
After losing Baker Mayfield in free agency to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Los Angeles Rams are looking for a new backup quarterback.
The Los Angeles Rams could not bring back quarterback Baker Mayfield as the backup to Matthew Stafford, as the former No. 1 overall pick by the Cleveland Browns signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the hope of becoming their full-time signal caller.

With Mayfield no longer an option, and Bryce Perkins' time as a Rams potentially ending as well, Sean McVay and company will have to look elsewhere.
One option could see the Rams land another former starter - well, semi-starter - in Dallas Cowboys' second-stringer Cooper Rush.
As proposed by the RamsWire in their article detailing five other options for the next backup quarterback, Rush would make a lot of sense. Despite spending most of his time in Dallas learning behind Dak Prescott, he would bring starting experience as he led the Cowboys to a 4-1 record last fall.
You left out that he BARELY can pass for 100 yards a game. He'll never be a starter in this league with those junior college numbers. You left out a stat. Purposely?
I never said he would be a starter..IN fact I said he shouldn't be.... but there you are arguing it. What is wrong with you?You left out that he BARELY can pass for 100 yards a game. He'll never be a starter in this league with those junior college numbers.
He's actually better than matt the last year or so. Sorry your joke fell so flat.I'd be happy for us to have Matt Ryan as our backup
I think he was hoping he could get a starter job somewhere but it doesn't seem like that's true. Maybe he'd be willing to sign a one year deal and we can draft a backup for the future.I'm not sure what the other NFL teams see or know...but I saw a competent backup. The team played well with him...he was calm and cool...no turnovers. Piled up wins. What's not to like?
Oh...that "noodle arm" thing? Whatever.
He's actually better than matt the last year or so. Sorry your joke fell so flat.
