Cooper Rush vs Eagles

I don’t think he is mobile enough to have success in this crap scheme.

You have to make plays with your legs in a Jason Garrett pass scheme.

We know he ran a 4.9 40 at the combine, so he’s not going to outrun anybody. But he did play with good football instincts and he has a really fast release.

I’m not saying he’s a franchise QB. But anyone who says he can’t be is making that determination because he wasn’t drafted, not because they know something.

If Rush turns out to be like Kirk Cousins and Dak turns out to be our RG3 we’ll only have one good QB and he won’t be good enough to make us a consistent playoff team. That’s not a scenario I’m hoping for.

wont argue, but I do think the ball will come out on count with C.Rush, his way of beating the rush........it would be nice if Dak had not "trained" opposing Def LB'rs to be able to get away with staying shallow to take away Beasley........He loved Rico in the pre-season, maybe Blake Jarwin can give him a release outlet a few times.

The only sample we have is preseason. Granted it isn't much and the bullets aren't flying. He looked good then in this system. If we're running the 1990s offense, then mobility isn't key. Aikman wasn't mobile. Accuracy and timing are key.

.........and getting the ball on cue...........cant expect any OLineman to stop the rush for 4 to 5 seconds, unless they never get called for holding

We have no proof that a QB that doesn’t have mobility can have success in Garrett’s offense.

Yes, by all means hope the young man does terrible so your internet message board experience is improved. Hoping he plays good enough to fill a backup role, become a trade piece or even the long odds of becoming a starting caliber QB is nothing as long as your internet feels are secure.

Where has Washington gotten with him? He’s never led the Commanders to the playoffs. They keep franchising him because they’re not sure about him. Dak has the potential to be a great NFL QB. Cousins is a good QB but it took 4 seasons for him to become good. At 29 he’s probably reached his ceiling. We were able to beat him twice this season in blowouts.

Where do you get that Cousins has led Washington pretty much where Dak has gotten us? By the way Romo led us to 3 division titles and Dak has led us to one, where have you been? Dak led us to a 13-3 season as a rookie with a franchise record 11 straight wins. He led us to a division title and the number one seed. Cousins has been the Commanders starter for three straight seasons and has yet to lead them to the playoffs. They’ve gotten nowhere with him so far and he’s pushing 30. If he was anything special the Commanders would’ve signed him to a long-term deal by now.

They may finally sign him this offseason but they’ve been very reluctant because they’re not sold on him. It took Dak only one season to get the Cowboys farther than Cousins has gotten the Commanders. As for Wentz he may be better than Dak and is the reason Philly won the NFC East this season so he has gotten them somewhere. His injury is going to prevent Philly from advancing in the playoffs and making it to the Super Bowl.

Our coaches wouldn't let Romo play because it would hurt Dak's feelings.. I doubt he will let Rush play for the same reason. Dak knows he has our coaches (and some fans still amazingly) hoodwinked.. doesn't want to give that up.

We are stuck with Dak until injury and/or Jerry dies. That is our reality.

Jesus you really hate Dak huh. Think the coaches played Dak because he had the greatest rookie yr for a QB in the history of the nfl. Surpassing the numbers put up by the previous guy in Roethlesberger.

To me, anything less than NFC championship or Super Bowl is a junky season. I don't care if we win the division and go one and out. Who counts divisional titles? Maybe the eagles
