Lol @brooksey1 trying to pretend like he actually likes Dak while throwing shade.

Lol I think Dak is a great young man, beyond his years mature. He’s a gamer but he’s not very accurate. I do root for him... just skeptical. This is not an easy league to have long term success with accuracy issues. He has to get his passes under control.

Solid point. Shanahan seems to have his stuff together.
The tragic part of things is that Shanahan is what Jones for whatever reason believed Garrett was.

Shanahan had the pedigree. His father was a winner and raised his kid accordingly. He paid his dues.

Garrett's father was a career grinding scout who never hit it big. Garrett got one job professionally after retiring and suddenly he was qualified?

I don't see why Jones was dazzled.

Anybody else hoping he plays miserably against the Eagles just to stop the hype train on this forum? Well? I can’t be the only one?

Why would I hope he plays poorly ???

That's about as idiotic a statement as I've ever heard.

Saw Dak & Rush in training camp at Star this year. Didn't think either had good arm talent in their QB sessions. I still think Dallas needs to bring in vet QB to back-up Dak and maybe even compete if Dak regression goes into next year.

Sure. Lots of those vet backups available ... especially when we're tight against the cap and can only offer minimum wage. Yep, lots of those ...

Absolutely NOT. I want him to play lights out and be dominant. There is nothing like QB competition to make a team the best it can be.....

Can I hope for all the players to play really well and we still get curb stomped?

Watching Garrett stand there and clap while his team is getting blown out, yet again, would be so funny:laugh:

just one more time before the season ends.;)

I hope Dak plays great and if Rush gets any playing time, I hope he plays well too. I would like the idea of knowing we have two good quarterbacks on the roster.

That said, I also believe that all positions should be up for grabs every training camp. Not because I am down on any player, but rather I believe that competition pushes people to improve and play better.

I agree my friend, every position should be open to competition.

That is why I still don't understand why when Romo asked if he could compete for his job with Dak, he was told no.

Seems like Garrett is not much on earning your position, of course that is not a surprise considering he never really earned his either.
