He was good in one quarter.
3 interceptions isn’t bad? OK. LOL.I first thought Cooper Rush had a bad game, but upon closer examination, he held up pretty well. He was accurate and effective vs the Eagles.
His receivers, not so much. Two of Rush’s interceptions were accurately thrown passes in which the receivers had position, but allowed the defenders to swat them out of the way to make a play on the ball. This can't happen in the NFL.
The Cowboys sold the farm to pay an overpriced, inept quarterback a huge salary, and the result is having receivers who are not number 1 caliber.
I hate to say it, but Cee Dee Lamb isn't great. Noah Brown is as close to being a number one as the Cowboys have. CeeDee just doesn't have the physique to hold up in physical games. The Eagles got physical with the Cowboys receivers and won the battles one on one too often.
Add to this missed calls by the refs, and Rush held up better than first thought.
Rush’s third interception was due to him being hit. It would probably have been a touchdown, otherwise.
Hate on him if you like, but this season still has a ways to go. Dak isn't as accurate as Rush, and if last night is any clue, the receivers aren't going to be much help.
We must have been watching different games.I first thought Cooper Rush had a bad game, but upon closer examination, he held up pretty well.
I mean there are plenty of comments about Dak in here defending him against Rush? Why pick out the one that brings up Dak’s trash play?
Rush’s performance in his FIFTH career start lies right up there with multiple Dak starts in 7 years of play on an offense tailored to him all this time..
Wow, Dakstans are now hanging their hat on proving the legend that is Dak with Cooper Rush…
Why do you think thy prototypical NFL receiver is 6'3" tall, 230lbs?Leeblair, I just want to thank you for showing not only the hypocrisy that exists on this board, but one of the reason why so many people in the NFL world think Cowboys fans are so delusional. Rush was TERRIBLE save for 2 drives. The first pick was thrown into AT LEAST double coverage. The second was put in a spot where Slay was EASILY able to undercut the receiver. But, for your new hero, lets start with all the excuses...
Lol stop. Dude has thrown 2 INT a week pretty muxh if it wasn't for Defensive penalties they would have affected the outcome of our previous games negatively.I first thought Cooper Rush had a bad game, but upon closer examination, he held up pretty well. He was accurate and effective vs the Eagles.

6th start and it is assinine to claim Rush wasn't bad in the first half.

Dude, your reaching to try to validate YOUR opinion is getting ridiculous - because, if you truly believe these things, then Dak should be afforded the same excuses since they are both throwing to the same players. But, that would defeat your narrative now, wouldn't it?Why do you think thy prototypical NFL receiver is 6'3" tall, 230lbs?
It's because of games like last night. It's so the receiver can withstand aggressive DB's and make a catch.
Do you think Michael Irvin would have let a DB swat him aside and steal the ball? Jerry Rice?
When a quarterback is accurate, that's his job. The receiver can't waste opportunities.
I didn’t say Rush wasn’t bad, did I? In fact, didn’t I say in another post he sucked outside the third quarter?
I'm a Rush backer, but dude....last night was obvious why the guy is a backup. He simply doesn't have the arm to overcome certain things. The last INT to Lamb was a perfect example. The guy felt pressure and couldn't get the ball out to a wide open receiver. Even the first INT receiver was open, but the ball didnt get there quick enough so the DB was able to make it a contested throw and it popped straight up. The 2nd INT was clearly a poor decision by Rush.
You can see anything if you look hard enough, but reality is Cooper Rush had a bad game. He had a chance to make a QB controversy, and gave it a heck of a run, but came up short. Time to move on and hope Dak can be better.
I agree.Dude, your reaching to try to validate YOUR opinion is getting ridiculous - because, if you truly believe these things, then Dak should be afforded the same excuses since they are both throwing to the same players.
There’s stupid, and then there’s this.Dude, just stop.
Rush beat four of the top teams in the NFL, consecutively. Dak couldn't do that.
