Cooper Rush?

Hear me out. Cooper Rush wins this game b/c Moore calls a more conservative/ run oriented offense with him in there. This team is not going to win with Dak Prescott conducting an air dominated offense. We should have stuck to the run game which was working beautifully. Dak reminds me a lot of romo........ he keeps both teams in the game.

we had 100+ yards rushing. we had 28 points. defense gave up 200+ yards rushing. two very long TD passes. Dak may not have played well. but neither did this defense.

It took Cooper's efforts 6 Qs to get 28 on the board. I think he comes up short today and next week, unless Zimmer makes a return for the Vikes.

Its a different game with Cooper in there. We are running the ball, controlling the clock, and moving the sticks. Cooper doesn't throw 2 INTs resulting in 14 GB points. You assume Cooper would come up short but you just saw Dak come up short. So which is a fact?

I miss Cooper Rush Ball. Yeah he looked bad in the 1st half against the best team in the league but they were able to make it close in the 4th quarter. At least they had an identity - they were going to run the ball with heavy play action passes as a bus driver. They would win/lose based on that identity...it's better than what they're trying to do now.

I am a Dak fan and I am 100 percent on board for roasting him for his two picks- especially the second one which was totally his fault. (Looked like a route mixup on the first but whatever).

But even after all of that this team had a 28-14 4th quarter lead against a Packers offense that couldn't throw the ball all season and some rookie toasts the defense.

This loss was a team effort, and this is not the thread to mention the officiating (or lack thereof) in overtime.

Actually Rush managed to throw two interceptions in his first nine passes against the Eagles so I'm in no hurry to see him against Minnesota either.

He threw 3 INTs against the Eagles and had a couple of INTs against Washington which got called back due to penalty. So you can't guarantee that he would not have thrown INTs against Green Bay or that the defense would have played better and came up with a stop in the 4th quarter against Rodgers.

in Cooper's 4 wins, the Defense held the opponents to 17, 16, 10, and 10 points. THAT'S why he won those 4 games.

I'll give Cooper credit, he largely avoided mistakes until that Eagles game and that's about all you can ask out of a backup QB. But with your defense giving up 28 points or more? hah, no.

Yes, he avoided mistakes. Did you see Cooper throwing the ball 46 times? This team wins with defense and a ball control offense. It is not going to win with Dak Prescott pretending he's the second coming of Peyton Manning.

Can't argue that. I'm just arguing that Cooper Rush and the offensive style we employ when he is in the game is a more effective formula that the "Air Dak" attack.

The Cowboys playing Conservative with Cooper Rush, would just mean that they would be playing not to lose, instead of playing to win on offense. And it would still mean that Rodgers who have a ton of time in the 4th quarter to come back down 14. It would have still been up to the defense to stop Rodgers on two drives. The defense just had to come up with one stop at least and couldn't do it.
