If a preteen girl can successfully land a kick to the officer' groin, seems like the Ozark police should reconsider the self-defense training that their officers receive.

If an officer has a difficult time subduing a 10-year-old girl, that officer needs more training and//or better fitness.

If you can't win a matchup against a preteen girl, how are you going to handle a young adult male?

I don't think the two things necessarily relate to each other. You try to manhandle a 10 year old and the next thing you know she's showing her bruises on the 10 o'clock news and her father is claiming she was touched inappropriately.

At least this way the only discussion is whether he was right to tase someone so young or not.

But honestly, the girl sounds like she's completely out of control, they should have used those leashes on a pole they use to recapture wild animals, maybe?

I don't think it was a matter of being unable to subdue the girl. Seems more like a "getting what you have coming" type of move. Sounds terrible but if you're gonna kick a cop in the pills, you'd better be ready to ride the lightning.

The issue I have is so many people get in an uproar with the use of corporal punishment. How can anybody justify the use of a taser?

I don't have a problem with corporal punishment, but I definitely have one about this cop's use of the taser.

Used to be that tasers were only meant to be used in situations where a firearm would be. At least, that's how police said they'd use them.

So if they're saying it would have been right to shoot the girl, then she needed it. She should consider herself lucky she wasn't executed.
