Cop tasers 10 year old girl

How can you justify tasering a 10 year old girl who doesn't have a weapon, cop was a coward, as are most...they like to play the part til it matters, then it is "back up come save me". And people wonder why some don't respect the police? Most are egomaniacs who aren't really qualified for much else, they just want the glory and undeserved respect.

Plenty of what you said is true (Mainly the egomaniac and unqualified bit), But people act like being tazed is some horrible thing. I've been tazed by a police grade tazer (the kind that fire and penetrate), thanks to my cop buddy and alcohol. It is not NEARLY so bad as the crybabies make it seem like when they are trying to milk the situation on camera.

It hits you, you instantly go numb and feel an arc of pain, and fall down. Recover is surprisingly quick, after a minute or two, the only thing you feel is VERY (like the pain you feel after getting a shot) mild pain whever the tazer punctured or touched you. I'd take a taze over a punch in the face any day of the week.

So tired of people defending these people being tazed, every one I've ever seen has resisted, not cooperated, or assaulted the officers. Then they cry out like they are being gutted.

The officer was in a lose lose situation. He man handles the kid, chases her down, any number of things could have happened leaving her actually injured, and this news would be all over as a huge police brutality story. He tased her, quick, efficient, and pretty much harmless.

Why is this such a big damn deal?

the mistake with the political zone was for any of the mods to think that it would not turn out just as it did. IF you are going to have a board like that it pretty much has to be unmoderated.

I've never fought with the cops, i was only locked up briefly for a non violent offense I will never commit again, doesn't change my perception though.

Mayor says cop dismissed for not using camera attached to stun gun


LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The police officer in a small Arkansas town who used a stun gun on an unruly 10-year-old girl has been fired for violating department policy — not for using the Taser itself but for failing to use the camera attached to it, according to the town's mayor.

Ozark Mayor Vernon McDaniel said he received notice of Officer Dustin Bradshaw's firing on Monday morning. Bradshaw previously was suspended for seven days with pay. His termination was effective Friday.

"The policy that Officer Bradshaw failed to obey is failure to have his camera placed on his Taser," police Chief Jim Noggle wrote in a memo to McDaniel. "It is the officer's duty to insure all of his equipment is present and in working order."

A phone listing for Bradshaw couldn't immediately be found Monday. The mayor said Bradshaw would receive unpaid vacation and holiday time.

Police were called to the home Nov. 11 after the girl's mother couldn't get her to take a shower.

Bradshaw's report says the girl was "violently kicking and verbally combative" when Bradshaw tried to take her into custody, and she kicked him in the groin. He said he delivered "a very brief drive stun to her back."

'Tase her'

"Her mother told me to tase her if I needed to," Bradshaw wrote.

The girl, who hasn't been identified, wasn't injured. She was taken to the Western Arkansas Youth Shelter in Cecil.

The police chief's memo said Bradshaw had been warned earlier to turn on the Taser's camera and to wear his lapel microphone.

"When talking to another employee Officer Bradshaw stated that it is worth a 5 point deduction just so he would not have to carry the cameras," Noggle wrote. "In the past he had been told to wear and use his cameras by me on several occasions."

McDaniel said Monday that the camera requirement "has been a very consistent policy ever since the Tasers were obtained roughly two years ago."

The FBI and Arkansas State Police are investigating the incident at the request of McDaniel and Noggle.

I don't think it was a matter of being unable to subdue the girl. Seems more like a "getting what you have coming" type of move. Sounds terrible but if you're gonna kick a cop in the pills, you'd better be ready to ride the lightning.
