We need to get better against pressure.

That was a weakness we have that I hadn't seen.

WE just kept giving and giving and giving the ball away.

Messi's frree kick though..... Props to him. He's always a joy to watch until your team is playing against him.

He was a joy to watch even with my team playing against him.

I don't mind Cameron. He starts for Stoke City so he competes against the best all the time. He's not great or anything but he's solid.

Brooks is the guy with big talent but even he looked out of his league against those guys last night.

I think the only thing we could've done differently is try to play through the fullbacks more.

99% of teams aren't beating Argentina and we weren't.
I would have just played the young guys and gotten them experience because the old MLS bound dudes aren't goign to help this national team going forward.
Wondo, Beckerman, Zusi as fill starters was pointless.

If the US claims 3rd in this tourney that is a great showing.
The bigger thing is Wood, Yedlin, Brooks, Cameron, Fabian all looking like legit International level players.

I'm just hoping we see more kids go play in Europe and MLS stay away from our developmental kids.
MLS is trying to name it;s way off the backs of US stars but it's also killing the USMNT level of play.
I haven't seen any player fully develop in MLS.

I can't figure out why he would bring Wondo over Jordan Morris.

I can't figure out why he is on the squad. He is 33 years old, but only has 33 CAPS. That is a lot of age without a lot of experience.

Well it does get tiresome when people constantly comment on where I live and show ignorance. Would be like me commenting on American hunting season

Thin skinned are we? Not sure where you are getting ignorance from with my comment. It was a joke. Canada's national sports are hockey (winter) and lacrosse (summer), not soccer.

or why bring him at all.
the trio that came in versus argentina were all maxed out back up types.
pointless to bring or play them.

if you cut donovan for julian green surely you value youth and development right?

morris should have been wood's back up and getting 20 minutes a game in that role.

we have to develop holding players and attacking players.
the back line which was the soft spot in brazil now looks quite good.

Officiating was great today. Messi unfortunately could not do much. Every time he touched the ball there were at 4 Chilean players around him. That shows a lot of respect and good strategy on their part. Feel sorry for Messi. I hope he wins a major championship for his country. He is such a classy player and person.

Messi says he is retiring from international football, losing four finals in nine years was too much for him.

I saw that and was shocked. I wish him well but part of me selfishly wants him to continue play internationally. The World Cup is only 2 yrs away and he so much fun to watch. Even people who don't like soccer tune in to watch him play. My buddy doesn't like soccer but he loves watching Messi play.

I think Messi needs to take a year break from the international team. The guy has played a lot of games over the last 5 to 6 years for both club and country. And even when he isn't playing with them, he is doing some type of charity tour. Step back for a year and re-focus for the next WC.
