Patterson is not a good blocker and would have a real hard time fitting in unless we have specific plays mapped out for him to get him the football.

That is what drove Norv Turner in to benching him in the first place.

Yeah those plays would be KR/PR

Vikings just traded for Mike Wallace and Patterson barely got any reps last year. I know the Cowboys were interested the year that they drafted Frederick but he got picked a few picks before. I would gladly send the Vikings a 6th round pick from this year and a 4th round pick from next year (Especially knowing the amount of compensatory picks we will have next year) in exchange for Patterson

Patterson is an exceptional return man both when it comes to punt return and kick return and also would be the first true speed deep threat the Cowboys have had in a while.

What do you guys think?

Totally agree.

However......the Vikings would laugh at a 6th from this year and a 4th from next year. Also, those guys are super paranoid about any dealings with us considering they got fleeced to the extreme 25 years ago.

They tried to draft him so Dooley wanted him then.

Claiborne for Patterson. Trade each other busts.

I like the way you talk. The Vikings want a perimeter CB so they can move Munnerlyn to the slot.

I would love that, don't think they'd give him up nearly that cheap though. He has shown flashes. He hasn't been great as a receiver, but look who is quarterbacks have been...

There is just something that I don't like about his mental make up. He is athletic but I don't think he has what it takes to be a really good WR.

I......

I thought he had proven me wrong in 2013 for a bit but his inconsistency raised its ugly head by the end of the season and in 2014 he was a flat out bust.

No thanks on him.

You should post more Chappy!

Good grief. Now you've got me staring at it. I had something to say about Cordarell, er, Corduroy, uh, whatever. But its gone now.

Depends on what we have to give up. I would give a 4 this year and a conditional 4th 3rd next year. He would be a good speed X and returner

Would be worth a late draft pick just for the special teams return potential alone

Use him in certain packages and on kr and pr. The Vikings would want more then a 6th round and a future draft pick.

I'd rather they try to draft a guy like Tyler Lockett. I think he can be a returner and have some impact as a receiver.

He would more than make up for the loss of Dwayne Harris. I'm in.

Now we're talking. The problem is Lockett will probably go in the 3rd or possibly late 2nd.

Only one problem with trading a 6th this year-we don't have one. It was traded to the Ravens for McClain

That's exactly what's so ingenious about the plan--it's the Ravens that would have to give up the pick!

Yeah but our need at CB is much greater than our need at Wr/kr

We have a need at CB, but what is Claiborne going to do this year to satisfy that?

If I ran this team, I would just ignore Claiborne and plan like he was not around.

If I get a chance to trade that player, I do it.

This would be a cut bait trade that you see all the time.
