First and foremost....I love DeCastro. BUT....

I am starting to think Glenn might be the first Oline taken. I think he can play OG or RT. Having said that, what are the chances we would play him at RT and move Doug Free to Guard. I am well aware of Free's contract but would interested in hearing some other takes about us taking Glenn at 14 if he's there.

Seems like an inefficient move.

Glenn was much more effective in college as an interior lineman than he was on the outside, and Free has been a starting tackle getting paid starting left tackle money.

Why would you move one player to a position he played less effectively and another to one he hasn't really played?

Now, if we draft Cordy, it may well be in the Leonard Davis line of thinking - that in a pinch/injury we could swing him to tackle - but I think we can be pretty sure that's not what the FO has in mind in the optimal scenario.

Yup, I think because of this flexibilty he now goes ahead of DeCastro.

i would love to see the meltdown if DeCastro was on the board and they selected Glenn. Hostile and Stash would need medical attention.

I expect Glenn to go before Fidel Decastro

I get how special DeCastro seems to be, but Glenn doesn't seem to be all that different in caliber from Iupati, who I desperately wanted that year.

I wouldn't jump off a cliff, personally, but I'd rather have him at 20.

At best Glenn might play a decent RT. Not really all that much reason to choose him over a clearly better guard

Big UGA fan here. Glenn is a monster of an OLmen. Being versatile is going to work in his favor. Good athlete for his size.

I'd still take DeCastro over him but Glenn will be a good Guard in the NFL.

Because it seems like we are not going to pick Decastro everyone if better than him now. Pretty soon Zeitler will be and then amini etc..

I prefer Glenn because of the versatility.

No, I'd actually be okay with us taking Glenn. I prefer DeCastro, but he would be my 2nd choice of anyone in round 1.

I'd form a conga line if it's DeCastro or Glenn.

I like both players.

I think Glenn provides versatility at both guard spots and a possible RT/Swing Tackle guy.

But DeCastro has some versatility too. I feel he can play both OG positions and possibly even Center.

Both guys improve our team.

Pick a side. Are you with the Natives (Glenn) or Dead Rabbits (DeCastro)?

Same here because it will signify that they realize the OL is not yet fixed.

I am just as fine if we take Konz, and an OG in 3 or 4. Just give us more stability up front. I don't dislike Livings or Bernadeau yet, but I am not sold on them. I am sold on DeCastro and Glenn.

Can't I just be a Dead Native?

Personally, I'm not happy with all this Barron talk.

DeCastro
Cox
Trade down for Konz or Glenn

This is my preference.

The Gil Brandt writeup on NFL.com said Glenn can play Center. True?

Interesting thought if so.

He can play 4 positions across the OL. LG, C, RG, and RT.

Well, if that's the case and you hear Bill Callahan and his best 5 guys theory. A prospect like Glenn gladly gives us the versatility to utilize our o-line philosphy.
