I see a real weakness in the secondary specifically with the CB situation. Jenkins is a stud and Scandrick is solid. Newman has been on the decline the last 2 years but hopefully he'll bounce back. Other than those 3, there's Marquis Floyd, Cletis Gordon and Jamar Wall. That's upsetting to the stomach. If there's a veteran need anywhere on the team, this need has to be just as important.

Hmmm I don't agree... Dallas is fine at the position, if a veteran comes available, they might snatch em' up.

What if one of the 3 go out with injury? You think one of the rest can fill in adequately? I don't see it and definitely not from a rookie or FA.

ball is cb/s and AOA might be too. if we get down to needing to start the 4th CB then AOA or hamlin would take S and ball would be CB

Rookie Bryan McCann is a cornerback, and may be pretty good. He can also play safety.

:)

Jesus, I'm beginning to wonder how the hell we won a game last year. Apparently our roster is atrocious!

Kinda hard to do when he's the starting safety.

Gee, maybe they could--if need be--move Ball to CB and play Hamlin at safety. You think?

Wow. Just wow.

Seriously, I am curious for OP to name one team in NFL that hs 3 good corners, let alone 4? It would be really entertaining to see the definition of good corner if so.

Here are the CBs behind the Giants top 3 guys:

Vince Anderson
Bruce Johnson
DJ Johnson

These guys are behind:

Webster
Ross
Thomas

Eagles:

Here are the guys not named Asante Samuel:

Ellis Hobbs
Joselio Hanson
Trevard Lindley (Please play him. ;))
Geoffrey Pope

Commanders:

Phillip Buchanon
Kevin Barnes
Doug Dutch
Marcus McCauley
Justin Tryon
Bryron Westbrook

These guys are behind:

DeAngelo Hall
Carlos Rodgers

You will be hard pressed to find any team that has 3 CBs as good as Newman, Jenkins, and Scandrick. A fourth CB is just going to be just that, a fourth CB. CBs are hard to find, and there are not enough of them to make teams 4 deep at that position, with the same quality as your top two or three guys.

Newman went to the Pro Bowl last year and out played Samuel in the game. In fact, he outplayed all the CBs in that game.

Most teams have 4 good corners. We only have 3 at the moment.

Last year there were SEVERAL teams that didn't even have 2 good corners

Jets, Bills, Broncos, Panthers, Packers, Bucs, Bengals, Ravens, Raiders, and Skins were Top 10 in Receiving Defense last year.

If someone wants to do a team-by-team CB analysis, that's where you can start. However, 4 good CBs is pretty rare in the history of the NFL.
