Coughlin at work

Exactly. Look at the Donald. :p:

Coughland is a very good coach but he whines like a little girl sometimes. He reminds me of my grandmother.

Would he remind you of your grandmother if he was "your" HC and you had 2 SB rings in 5 years?

Per Newsday:

TC:

"I'm not saying that," he said. "I'm just saying that's a heck of a long time, 10 seconds, three plays."

John Mara:
"I give them a lot of credit to be able to get three plays off in 10 seconds."

He looks like mine RIP Grandma J.

Don't be a sore loser, not cool. Coughlin "right now" is the best HC in the NFL. Not to say what will happen the 2nd 1/2 of the season, just right now.

Not your's or the rest of the Cowboys fans fault that JG and TR...yep Romo can't get it done. But don't rag on another team that won, luck or not. And yes, the jints got lucky the last cowboy drive.

he says what has to be said and had a valid point about the play clock. It could have made a difference in the game and was avoidable.

Point taken.

He focuses on the menial/trivial things and that may contribute to his overall success. Thank you for your perspective!

There might be a tiny bit of truth to his claim.

I reviewed the game when the clock was stopped with 10 seconds remaining and with 6 seconds remaining. From the snap of the ball, I counted one-thousand-one, one-thousand-two, one-thousand-three before the clock went from 10 to 9 and from 6 to 5. I only counted one-thousand-one from 9 to 8 and from 5 to 4.

I didn't check during the middle of the game to see if there is a delay every time the clock restarts.

Not to be a sore loser, but I think Mike Smith, Lovie Smith and Gary Kubiak might have something to say about that best "right now" thing. Coughlin is missing Spagnuolo right now. Outside of the D line, that defense is a mess. Kind of like our offense.:(

I like Jim Harbaugh.

If he only focused on the trivial, he wouldn't have won two SBs in the past 5 years.

They won without Spagnola... None of the gusy mentioned have sniffed a SB win. The Bears were the closest thing and Smith got whalloped by Manning. Coughling took the expansion Jaguars to the division championship as HC...

I mean, seriously... yes, those guys are good coaches, but please, from a fellow Cowboy fan who hates the Giants, stop down-playing Coughlin...

the only idiots are those calling coughlin an idiot

this is part of why his team has won something, he looks for every minor detail that works against his team and tries to figure out how to improve it

you may not agree with him but his team is the better for it

if we had won under the same circumstances, you can bet garrett would be grateful and giddy as a teenager

one of many differences between the 2

coughlin = proven NFL HC

garrett = not so much

There's always human reaction time when the clock starts or stops. Notice that the clock also kept running after Witten stepped out of bounds (from 7 to 6) and after the pass to Austin fell incomplete (from 2 to 1).

I didn't call Coughlin an idiot for complaining about the clock. I called him an idiot for thinking there's anything unusual about three plays in 10 seconds.

His claim that "it's been a long time since I've seen three plays in 10 seconds" and "that was an incredible thing that happened there" is absolutely preposterous. As I pointed out earlier, HIS OWN TEAM did it last week. And the week before that. And two times a few weeks before that. And multiple times last season.

He's either a liar, an idiot or just blabbering without knowing what he's talking about. Whichever one you'd prefer to call him, be my guest. Either way, he's flat-out wrong.

There's nothing more idiotic than ragging on another team that's been more successful than yours.
In the Triplets Era, fans of other teams would ***** and moan about how "lucky" the Cowboys were, & how JJ was just a cry-baby jerk.
My response to them was always the same: deal with it.
That's something alot of our whining fans need to do as well.

my view of this matter is that Coughlin certainly is a great coach and is in his rights to bring up the clock issue at the end. i would have liked to have seen JG bring up some of the questionable calls that went against us in that crazy game, especially several obvious pass interferences where the refs didn't even touch their hankies.

Romo got it done on opening day didnt he? I bet you also thought he was "getting it done" on Sunday after rattling off 24 unanswered points against your mighty D. You probably also thought he got it done in grand fashion against the overrated Webster until a replay showed a finger out if bounds.

Just GO AWAY troll and pray that you guys don't have to play us again since you have yet to outplay us this year.

Funny how the sharks are "all" out when they smell blood. You would think that they would be happy enough with the result of the last game and continue their circlej**k on their own board.

Go play with Mara and Goodell, Coughlin. I really hate that team. Maybe your owner can fine us in the off season.

The Gints did get lucky and they know it. Maybe your owner can take some picks away from us next season to make sure that never happens again. Our D owns Eli, and he knows it. Hope next time that you guys get another 6 turnovers to help your team make a game of it.

He's not an idiot, he just plays one on TV. It's his way to "work" the officials/league to bend it back his way. Clever indeed.

Our D owns Eli? Are you living in bizarro world? It's usually been a shoot-out when the two teams have played in the last couple of years. There are two defensive performances by the Cowboys which really stand-out to me though, which showed quality defense in the context of the importance of the game:

Wade's first defensive performance against the Giants, where he totally flustered Eli, even employing the 4-6 package.

Last game, the defense was impressive
