No, people over estimate our talent, been guilty myself.

He can scheme all he wants but when players are dropping passes, QB’s throwing too many int’s, players making critical fumbles, missed tackles, missed blocks, etc...there’s only so much he can do.

This defense needs help at S and DT, but has pro bowl caliber players at all 3 levels. If a defensive coordinator needs all pros at every position you need a new coordinator.

I have more issue with scheme/technique than I do the on field talent.

They are ok. The corners and safeties here make no plays, seems most of the time it is by design or scheme. Hard to catch balls you can't see because you never turn your head around.

The defensive line although running a scheme that attacks all the time barely gets push on the line of scrimmage.

The linebackers are solid, LVE looks to have been effected by his illness the last two games. Smith looks kinda how he always does to me...if he is allowed to run downhill he looks like a playmaker, if he has to turn and run or chase a rb across or down the field he looks slow and average.

Belichick doesn't need all pro's at every level but what he does need is time to teach the defense how he wants them to play. It's not magic that they have a million interceptions and win on defense all the time there. If players can not succeed in his system or he sees them regressing he gets rid of them no matter who they are.

on one hand it's admirable because they always win and are always great on defense. On the other hand it's belichick and not the salary cap that has changed the nfl. he is the guy that just gets rid of veterans, guys making big money etc...they are so successful everyone just copied them. I like it better when you can have your team and watch it grow and hopefully win. In New England they are really rooting for laundry because there have only been a few guys who have long careers there.

If he walked in next monday and had to coach the rest of the season he would probably suffer from these errors too, if he had an offseason to change the roster and teach the team how he coaches and what he expects he would eliminate a lot of these problems. Players in New England actually fear for their jobs when they make errors because he benches people and trades/releases them when they make mistakes/become to expensive or are not useful anymore.

here in Dallas only Kickers and older qb's get scapegoated. Outside of the occasional Taco Charlton pretty much everyone keeps their jobs until they become terrible players and off the field stuff has no consequence either unless the league gets involved.

Yes he absolutely would. In part because the gapping holes at DT and safety would be corrected.

Belichick could win a Superbowl with replacement players and cheerleaders. The man is the GOAT that understands how to game-plan for his specific personnel and how to dominate an opponent in all phases of the game. His in-game adjustments are second to none. We have all seen him win a game by focusing on his TEs one week, his RBs the next week, followed up by WRs domination the following week .His football wisdom is far greater than anyone that preceded him.

I marvel how he neutralize opponents weapons.

Doesn't really matter because if he couldn't make the players they have now competitive, he would have exchanged them for players that he could by this time in the season.

He’d win multiple SBs.
Not even in the same universe

Belichick could take our 2nd string and be competitive

Belichick studies and strategized using every statistical edge against every opponent every week! REAL COACHING

******* carrot top meanwhile thinks high school tackling and blocking drills is how you orepare for yr opponent

We are just LOST in inept coaching every week.... KILLING US

Agreed, he would change the roster quite a bit IMO which is also why I said a lot of people overrate the talent on this team.

I would bet dollars to donuts that Zeke would have been traded had he pulled what he did and Bellichik was in charge (assuming Jerry stayed out of it which never would).

probably not the exact roster as he'd tweak as he saw fit but a hard no if jeri comes along with the team, remove jeri from the picture and it would only be a matter of time imo

I'm referring to this season and current 53.

Jerry can't impact Belichick with regards to coaching. Belichick either coaches his way or Jerry has to fire him.

If Belichick started this season as the HC with the current roster, what is the final result?

1. Would they make the playoffs this year? Regular season Win/Loss record?
2. Would they make it to the NFC Championship game?
3. Would they make it to the Super Bowl?
4. Would they win the Super Bowl?

Yes!!!! Of course he would tweak the roster after assessing the situation. He would probably try to get rid of the big contract guys not fully pulling their weight. Good by big mouth Lawrence. He would bring in smart players willing to study that have a passion for the game( the NE way). Belicheat can win without Brady. Did you see his defense with barely average talent dominate the 2nd ranked Rams O in the Super Bowl.

If you don’t think Belicheat can win without Brady you have NO idea the importance of coaching in Football!

I don’t like playing WWBD because 1) he’s probably the greatest coach ever and 2) he’s never had to do it anywhere else under different conditions. But if you do want to play that game, keep in mind he would not have extended Zeke for a zillion bucks and he would already be getting another QB ready to take over next year...
