Our DTs are decent but a guy like donald would immediately come in and change this defense from day one. He's dynamic.

Our DL is middle of the pack. They aren't the worst in the league by a long shot. We were top half of the league in sacks last year and also against the run.

Just saying that when a player like Donald might be availabe....you explore it. He would immediately revamp the line, might even make the Ends a bit better.

The best defenses have three starting caliber DEs and 3 starting caliber DTs. You'd like two or three of those guys to be at a pro bowl level.

HUGE "IF". I would be THRILLED to get Donald but the Cowboys just got out of salary cap hell and i dont think they want to go back. Would rather trade for a stud DE.

You not trading for Aaron Donald. You are trading for the right to sign Aaron Donald to a massive long term contract as opposed to waiting until he is a free agent. We got bite hard overpaying for Roy Williams in a similar scenario. They wont pay that kings ransom again

Any team making a deal the rams would except are going to have a contract agreed to before the trade is finalized.
