Could Kneeland see more time than Sam Williams?

I think it all depends on what Sam Williams we get each game, the mental mistakes have to go! He's tough, and has good speed, we just want him to clean up the unnecessary mistakes he makes getting flags. If Kneeland displays that motor and toughness, I think we will see a lot of him, what are your thoughts?? He's probably the D-law replacement (maybe)

I think it might be somewhat revealing who gets the most time and attention in their play during the weeks and months ahead. Of course, Sam will have the benefit of experiencing the defensive schemes longer than Kneeland is likely to as a rookie. That, in itself, should afford Williams a clear advantage over Kneeland in that respect. I think the level of their play will reveal enough to get a vague idea of what they both have to offer.

We'll also see what time and further experience does to enhance the image that both of these warriors present. I'll be hoping they both prove to be what we'd most want to see in them. That's exactly what the Cowboys' defense could ideally use in putting them to good use.

I think he his bull rush will be most effective for him early.

I feel the type of offense that the competition presents will have much to do with who's used the most for each contest. Sam will come in handy for the offenses that present major threats in passing and Kneeland may take precedence for offenses with exceptionally tough running games. I think they'll both be likely to serve the team's defensive needs well according to their strengths. It helps a team to have varied abilities to rely upon.

Then the last name, Kneeland was uttered.
I will root for the player but I'd love to know where he was on other teams draft boards. Hey, at least he's not hurt already.

On paper, I don't think the Cowboys has had this much value at the DE position two deep. If I'm not mistaken, that's one 1st round pick and three 2nd round picks

Kneeland is a Lawrence replacement not Sam.

I have low expectations this year, everything about his draft profile and production in college screams about 2 to 3 years before he starts to make a significant impact.

Williams screams "mental bust". All the talent in the world, but he just keeps making stupid plays and the coaches can't trust him. If you sack the QB on 3rd down, and then run into the punter on 4th down, the team is worse off than if you'd just been benched for both plays.

The door may be open for Kneeland to take snaps. I don't think he's ready, but I don't think Williams is very ready either.
