Before the 2014 season, Forsett was cast as a change-of-pace running back who never exceeded 650 yards in any season and bounced around the league. After Ray Rice was suspended for the year, Forsett stepped in and rushed for 1,266 yards.

Is that Dunbar's current weight? He was 205 at his Pro Day.

Forsett did have a shocking 26 reps at the combine compared to 11 for Dunbar.

This one was confusing to me. If you use NFLDraftScout, it says 205. If you simply type "Lance Dunbar Weight" into Google, it says 191. That seems more realistic.

A similar example is that Tre Mason was 207 at draft time but dropped to about 195 in the NFL because he wanted to be as fast as possible.

Dunbar is listed at 195 on the Cowboys roster.

My guess is that Dunbar is lighter now because he seems faster than his 4.47 time.

what is the opinion on Dunbars toughness and dirty yards

He has not had enough opportunities to really evaluate him on "dirty runs". He did have a couple that I specifically remember last season where he had a good run in the middle and got a few yards when there did not appear to be an opening.

For that weight 11 reps is horrible.

Hoping he can provide something useful for this offense this year.

I'm more worried about these guys trying to pickup the blitz.

Unless everyone else gets the plague, Dunbar is never going to get 15 carries a game, so no, he won't be Forsett.

205 is a lot of muscle of a 5'8'' frame
I cant recall the small RB on the Giants but he was a nasty player.

I think, pound for pound, Forsett is the much more powerful player.
He held up through the season with a heavy workload.

I feel certain that IF a back could withstand a full 16 game workload, he'd easily get those 1266 yards in the Dallas offense.
But it's the "if" that has many around here concerned.

Morris was who I was thinking of.
Of course Emmitt
Has there been much talk about Dunbars advancement ?

Yes, the word from the local reporters that were at OTAs is that they came away with the impression that Dunbar is a near lock to be on the roster; whereas, before the OTAs they thought he was the odd man out.

Garrett raved about him in press conference. There were very positive quotes by the RB coach and by Witten about Dunbar. Garrett made comments that Dunbar could be a full time WR if they needed him there.

yea another thread on our rbs. To answer your question, Dunbar hasnt done anything to let us know hes even Dunbar let alone compared to someone else. Tho, while i have NOT been a supporter of Dunbar, that doesnt mean i am correct this year. This year he runs behind a better line, a RB who will be relieved from time to time and it will be up to Dunbar to be more than just a back, can be pick up the blitz and do the other jobs needed of a good back.

First lets see what comes of Dunbar than worry about can Dunbar be anything more than Dunbar.
