Why do we want McFadden so much? He's a great player but we have a great offense 2 good backs. We couple use some offensive line help but outside of that we are good to go on offense for a few years to come. We need some LBs/DEs/DBs. Maybe another WR. But we really don't need one that badly.

The same reason the Lions drafted Calvin Johnson even though they didn't necessarily need a WR, you never pass on world class talent.

Hopefully, that's the only thing we have in common with the Lions.

That being said, if we miss out on him, we could add some damn good talent with two first round picks. There are a few RB's coming out that look great, and of course we need a WR and CB as well.

If you seriously believe that Romo is going to command $10 mil/year average, you're sorely mistaken.

Peyton Manning is the measuring stick for QB contracts. If his average yearly salary is slightly over $13.8 mil/year, then Romo will command around $7 mil/year.

Romo is a good quarterback, but you can't label him among the greats of Manning, Brady, McNabb, Vick [when he got extended], Brees, Hasselbeck, and Bulger.

I think Romo is better than Hasselback or Bulger now. Vick won't even be a QB anymore when he comes back IMO.
