Could someone explain how Tom Brady

If I recall correctly, wasn't he supposed to be suspended the first 4 games of one season and ended up delaying it an entire year? He had to face the music eventually.

Yes, his suspension was delayed while waiting for therhe court ruling. I expect Zeke to play all 16 games this season, any suspension time will be served next year.

If we can dictate when he serves the suspension I think that helps.

I'd like To know how a bengals RB who has admitted to hitting his girl. Who's video is out there of him hitting his gf = no suspension! How?

I can't recall the name but I heard there also a raiders player named Conley? Who has been charged with rape. And no investigation or suspension by the nfl? This is some bs.

Oh no... lets suspend zeke though on some allegations...

Joe Mixon. That occurred while he was in college. There is no question that occurred...there was video. We are supposed to believe a stripper (not saying they lie)...hung around to be beat up 3 times in 1 week. We are supposed to believe that the DA did not see enough to press charges...but the NFL did. We are supposed to believe a the victim...who all agree got into a fight at a bar....which was witnessed by many....is not prone to violence.

Brady found a judge that was willing to issue an injunction but the league ended up winning so I don't know if you can find a judge willing to go against the precedent that was set in the Brady case. He may have to make a claim that isn't subject to the CBA like a civil rights claim or something.

The NFL has branded him a woman beater without any legal due process. There should be a way for him to TAKE THAT TO COURT.

...not sure about all the legal movements....but it's a good chance Zeke can at least start the season for the boys....and that would be a good thing!...also..
I hope they find a way to keep QB Cooper Rush I'd hate for another team to grab him....heck put Moore on the practice squad!....he'd be safer there!...lol:)

But tobe fair, Mixon paid a full year penalty in college.
Time served and price paid wellbefore the NFL

Experienced lawyers can drag cases on and on.
and if he ever gets hurt and will miss a month, then you drop the appeal and serve while out with an injury

you get a free roster spot instead of going on IRR for 8 weeks

Other teams fear the Cowboys. The Cowboys don't fear other teams. Serve it, get it over with and move on. It's not like the Cowboys have high school RB's behind Zeke.
Something tells me we aren't getting a close call ar a critical moment this year from the NFL referees.

Just a quick note, Brady did not have his suspension delayed, he won in court before the season started, the NFL than appealed the ruling, and that court date occurred during the following off season. Hence why he served it than. There was never a stay issued by the court.

Also you just cant go to the courts because you think the NFL was unfair, Brady had a case that the court accepted, because he claimed he didn't have due warning of his suspension, which is agreed upon in the CBA. Meaning no where in the CBA does it say you can get suspended for an equipment infraction. The lower court ruled in Brady's favor, the appeals court ruled in the NFL favor saying that the NFL can rule how they want according to article 46 of the CBA.

Just so you know the courts do not rule on the actual case, they by law have to accept the arbitrators ruling. There job is to see if the CBA was followed, not weather the ruling was fair, in fact the court ruled the NFL does not have to be fair, they just have to rule within accordance of the CBA.

BTW the fact that 2 or 4 federal judges ruled in Brady's favor( the 1 in the lower court, and 1 in the appeals) says how bad they think the NFL screwed up the process. Federal judges abide by the arbitrators rulings, in over 90% of all cases, and the fact that 50% of the judges ruled in Brady's favor, even with the all powerful article 46 of the CBA, says a lot of how corrupt the NFL was with the Brady case.

Basically, unless the NFL violated the CBA in anyway, Elliott will not even be accepted by a court. His defense cant be re-litigating the case, and saying the NFL came up with an unfair ruling. So what is Elliot's case he can bring to federal court?

Yeah no matter what you think of Brady, that appeal he lost kills any chance of Zeke taking this to court and getting anywhere.

Here's why: the appeal the NFL won didn't find Brady guilty of deflategate. Rather, it found that the CBA basically gives Goodell unlimited power to punish without any oversight, so it doesn't matter if Brady was innocent or guilty, or if the punishment process was fair at all - the punishment stands regardless.

Zeke and the Cowboys have no recourse at all, because the courts ruled that the CBA lets Goodell do whatever he wants to punish players, without any appeal to anybody but Goodell himself.

If this makes you think the NFLPA is the most inept union in all of sports, well, you're probably on to something.
