Just wow.

Which in my opinion would be hard to top. (Moss, Welker, Stallworth, Thomas). But here's my thought of what could be WOW.
1 - Let Flozell walk, saves us CAP money by not tagging him
2- Franchise Hamlin - costs roughly 5 million
3- Trade #28 and next years 3rd to Detriot for Roy Williams or #28 and Carp for Chad Johnson (I think Deion is leaning this way)
4 - big FA splash will be either Trufant or Samuel (this means next year Newman walks)
5 - #22 - draft Felix Jones
6 - 2nd round pick - CB

DBOY3141;1959288 said:Trufant and Samuel or not less of a CB than Newman. I think Newman is a top 5 CB but so are the other two. Folks around here say that even though Newman is 30 his body doesn't have the wear and tear of 30. I say crap on that, 30 is 30 and Newman is already showing signs of wear and tear. So do you pay Trufant/Samuel 80 million this year or Newman 80 million next year when he will be 31, so at 36 he is still drawing CB money.
I've been saying this all along. But apparently nobody wants to believe it around here, but it makes a helluva lot more sense than paying Newman 80 million when he's 31 years old.
Oh, and getting back to the topic at hand........
Sign Trufant or Samuel
Give both firsts to the raiders for McFadden
A 2nd and a 3rd (or player) to Detroit for RW
Yes, it is fantasyland, but it would certainly make me say WOW.

That's damn bold for sure! 3 great players and yes it won't happen, but talk about shocking the NFL world.

It is the most overused phrase in football. And Newman is very good, but he's not even close to Deions level.
How many players in the NFL are?Torn_ACL;1959401 said:Newman isn't THAT great and he will not be worth what he gets paid.

yes...waste their cap space on a top 10 corner...are you even a cowboys fan? better yet do you know anything about football?Torn_ACL;1959471 said:Newman will be 30 years old before the first snap of the upcoming season. That is just sick, you need to select a new avatar before posters around here start getting the wrong idea about you.
Just an FYI to help you out dude.

Broad claim? He did break down last season. It's called a fact.burmafrd;1959529 said:Have to love all the doofus types that make broad claims about players breaking down and how they are not all that good. I guess they are good for a laugh= nothing else.
I know it's a sick injury. I tore both of mine by the age of 17. No one has ever complained about the avatar (for nearly 4 years).jdub2k4;1959743 said:I agree. I know that image goes with your name, but nobody wants to see that...it is a sick injury and shouldn't be promoted.
It is my belief that it would be a waste of money to sign him to a 6 or 7 year deal, which is what he will want. He is nearly 30 years old. It's called logic. Yes I'm a Cowboys fan, but I'm not a homer.the kid 05;1959496 said:yes...waste their cap space on a top 10 corner...are you even a cowboys fan? better yet do you know anything about football?
