Count us out, Eagles and Washington play each other late in the season!

Cowboys played both games against Washington in a 3 week span in Dec a few years ago.
Ridiculous to not play a divisional team until Dec. Also no reason for both games to be that close together.

Let’s see how the schedule looks league wide. The NFL is likely trying to avoid teams playing for nothing in week 18.

Their current head coach has been to two Super Bowls. The only one he “followed” was the first one and the team went 11-6 and went to the playoffs as a wild card where they lost to Tampa Bay in the wild card round. Not much of a “fall from grace”.

Losing in the wild card round is the high water mark for the Cowboys. The whole NFCE will be taking a “step back” this season. Perhaps not the Giants. Eleven wins will win the NFCE this year. It’s not going to be the Dallas Cowboys.
I said take a step back, not fall from grace. It wouldn't matter anyway. They'll be back. They are all in on winning championships. It's clearly their first priority. They are running their team like they are playing a computer sim against weak AI.

I guess this is being done because they feel they're the best two teams and want to draw big ratings as the teams push for a playoff spot and division crown!!

DAL is irrelevant for the first time and it's been a long time coming. They haven't amounted to crap for 30 years! Perhaps the Joneses will get serious now that DAL has lost some luster.

The NFC East division, as a whole, may take a step back record wise this year. We don’t know what the schedule will actually play like until it’s played, but right now it looks brutal.

Fine with me. If they are slated to dominate the division; let them bash each other right before the playoffs. Hopefully, Dallas will be in position to take advantage of the schedule.

One of them is going to burn out.

I know the Eagles always take a couple steps backwards the year after going to a Super Bowl.

After going to a Super Bowl, they lose an average of five more regular season games the following season.

And Washington's is, well.....Washington. What happened the last time they had a rookie quarterback....drafted 2nd overall.... with an amazing year?

Washington is not invulnerable to injury, the football gods giveth and taketh. I'm not predicting, just saying that the season could, and usually does, turn out completely different than expected.

When the Cowboys lost Tony Romo in 2016, after first losing his backup Kellen Moore, who predicted that their rookie 4th round draft pick would start at QB and the Cowboys would have an 11 game winning streak? Nobody!
no way the eagles have backwards steps after SB, they had a good 2018 year shoulda beaten the saints for a NFCCG game, and 2023 well its the defense that collapsed.

I looked at our schedule. I feel like we might start 1-3 or 0-4. It's brutal, the first 4 games. But the schedule gets much better after that. I see us then reeling off about 4 wins in a row, then after that we win just enough to sneak into the playoffs. I think we finish 2nd in our division and either Philly or the Commodes will miss the playoffs. I also think we will win a playoff game, maybe 2. Might get hot at the right time and make a playoff run. Shotty will have his hands full to begin the year, just looking at the first few games.
