I think Tyron has moved above Pat Donovan.

No issues with the five that are on there. I understand the accident and off field issues dropping Erik Williams to #2 behind Rayfield Wright.

Had Erik not get into that accident, he would have replaced Larry Allen as the greatest offensive lineman ever.

He was the best I ever saw pre crash! Just a dominating player. One of the most physically dominate I ever saw regardless of position.

The writer is probably over 60.

Erik Williams was the most dominant RT ever before the car wreck.

Or perhaps you never saw Rayfield Wright play. He almost literally never got beat. And he'd be 20 yards downfield blowing up safeties. The guy could have played tight end, too.

That's why I asked about sacks given up by Wright.

They didn't start recording sacks until 1982 which was after Wright retired. I've heard he never gave up a sack but I always found that hard to believe. I know his first start as an OT was against Deacon Jones who he handled just fine.

He was like Tyron in that he was a terrific athlete with huge hands and long arms. And he had that uncle strength.

Ralph Neely was named All-Pro 3 straight seasons and made the Pro Bowl 2 of the seasons. I guess I don't pay much attention to this stuff. Does this happen a lot?

Ask John Madden...
