Possible does not equal probable.

Just because small school guys have made it before doesn't mean that the size of the school doesn't make a huge difference in success rates.

Only in SA training camp........he shows potential but nothing really stood out except he is fast.......I remember him getting burnt for a td by Crayton
Crayton=experienced veteran
Brown=small school, inexperienced rookie.

No surprise there.

Yeah, but his "measureables" were "elite" -- so people got huge bananas in their pockets over him, despite the fact that he played for a college that would have had trouble with good HS teams.

He did have good measurables. That's an ok reason to be excited about a guy. Texans fans, for instance, are pretty high on Jacoby Jones. Think Cal Poly would have had trouble with Lane? The fact that they're long shots can be a reason to root for the guy in itself.

And (general question) why is it a knock on a player to be more atheletically suited to play FS than to play CB? Is it just b/c we seem to be short on quality CB depth right now, or is it a general bias against the FS position? Good FS are more than just big, slow CBs.

My guess is Brown sticks on the PS for a season, and we'll see if and how he develops. That's not bad for a small school 7th round pick.
