The cover 2 needs to be completely thrown out of Dallas' defensive playbook. They simply DO NOT have the personnel to run it. Davis and Williams are sitting ducks back there, the Dline cant pressure the QBs. I just dont understand why they continue to run the same schemes that continue to give up big plays week in and week out.

u got 1 goofy 1...whos goofier than goofy..running around looking clueless n running into his own players like a nerd at school..taking bad angles

and u got 1.....whos always trying to knock heads off...and ends up over persueing.....

we have corners..we need to use them!

hate to tell you but you had better get used to that kind of "D"..... that's typical parcells...... you won't see a whole lot of blitzes from him! It drives me nuts to see a QB dance around for 10 seconds and hit a WR 25 yards down field!

yep.... RW ain't worth CRAP in coverage! He needs to take those concrete blocks off his feet.... he's horrible!

That's the only scheme Zimmer knows. When he first became the defense coordinator using his own scheme, Philly put up 44 points on us and that year 3-4 runners had 200+ yards. He quickly adopted Tampa cover 2 defense and went into this prevent defense or bend but don't break defense. May be the players on the team required to use that scheme at that time but I don't know if still need to use that now

I wouldnt mind it if they had the players to run it, but clearly Dallas doesnt. I just hope Parrish can contribute something at FS.

I dont blame the safties.

Our coaches have to realize our safeties are not built for the Cover-2.

We have the safeties already so we need to fit a system that suits them.

This has been a theme all year. A Cover 2 zone is a silly defense for this team.

And what exactly do you plan to replace it with? I know you don't expect Davis and Williams to play Man-to-Man. Thats even worse!!!
