Terrible towels, diehard fans, smashmouth ball, three head coaches since '69 -- yup, it's a Burgh thing.
What does three head coaches have to do with fans? Yep, nothing.

I will say this about Giants fans. Diehard Giants fans, are REAL Giants fans. The problem is the ratio of diehard Giants fans compared to the population in the area. Much much smaller than diehard Dallas fans in Dallas. Most people I talk to couldn't name 10 people on the Giants and probably not even name their head coach.

Funny, that's the knock on a lot of Cowboys "fans" I know.

The problem with Cowboys fans as a whole is that we're diluted with a lot of bandwagon fans .. and no, I am not referring to the users who post here. I'm talking about the guy walking down the street who has on a Cowboys shirt yet can only name 1 or 2 players (Romo/Owens) on the Cowboys at best.

I cannot see how the Eagle's fans are ranked above us because those guys turn on their team every time they punt. Giants fans remind me of a local high school football team's fans .. low numbers and really supportive when their team is doing well.

Commanders fans (as a whole) are like Cowboys fans though a little more delusional. The Cowboys sign a new player like Owens and Cowboys fans say, "We definitely improved the team and should do better this year." The Commanders sign a player who was a backup on another team and they say, "We're going to own the NFC East and go to the Super Bowl this year!"

With Brett Favre out of Green Bay, the big Packers bandwagon will get a lot more empty, but die-hard Packers fans will always be there just like Chiefs's fans.

That describes roughly 90% of the Cowboys fans in the DC area...all they know is "Romo" "Owens," "Five Super Bowls," "Quincy Campbell..." etc. etc.

However you bring up something current, and the just look at you cross-eyed.

Don't disagree with this...

I firmly believe the Cowboys and Commanders fans are one in the same here...

The Packers, like the Steelers, Cheifs and Browns, will always have a top-10 backing. The Seahawks should be moved WAY up -- it's not the fans fault the city banned tailgating. And that is the hardest place to play.

I think lot of their basis is also due to Texas Stadium. Texas Stadium is not really an intimidating place to play. Whenever I go to the games, it seems the crowd made more noise when WE were on offense.

We're about where we should be. With as many bandwagon jumpers as we have and how average the crowd is at Texas Stadium, we dont deserve to be much higher. The last time the Packers and Steelers came to Texas Stadium, I couldnt tell if it was a home game. Atleast with all the Boys fans in DC and NY, you still never question the fanbase in the stadium when we play the Giants or Skins.

Those are called bangwagon fans. Most true diehard fans for a team will be local. (or at least within a few hundred miles of the team) Thats why I was talking about Giant fans here in NYC.

I am a Dallas -> New York transplant

We have a lot of idiotic fans tha blurb the first thing that pops in their heads.

The true Cowboys fans are great but we have a lot of knuckleheads.

I disagree. Almost every Cowboy fan I've met in Virginia is extremely knowledgeable about our team. I can't think of one who isn't.

I was talking to a chiefs fan yesterday that didn't know who Derrick Johnson was or the names of their QBs.

I knew more about his team than he did.

I'd say roughly 50% of the skins fans in my area are the same way. The other 50% usually know their stuff though.
