San Diego's pass D was among the league's worst last year, coughing up 253.3 passing yards per contest (they did make things tougher in the red-zone, with 19 TDs surrendered over 16 games). Not a whole lot has changed since last year - San Diego allowed 22/32 for 309 yards, 0 TDs and 0 interceptions to the Vikings during their game week 3 of the preseason. The Chargers remain a work in progress in this phase of the game. Taking it to them thru the air will be our ticket. I think we'll win this game 24-17

i believe we can win if we win the turnover battle and play smart football without mistakes.

Ah, but therein lies the rub, yeah? The Cowboys have been losing this ubiquitous turnover battle since the late 90's... the day the 'boys force more turnovers and mistakes than they create is a day I hope to live to see again.

I guess I'm a homer/optimist but so was Jimmy Johnson when he declared to a national audience that we were going to beat the Niners in the second NFC championship game against them in as many years. In my opinion he earned those brass balls. In the back of his mind were there doubts about the game? Maybe, but I believe he cleared them out at the time he made that prediction until we won the game I think that he believed beyond a shodw of a doubt that we would win. Guess what, we did. As a fan I try to do the same thing every time we play.

I predict Roy and Ware will hit Brees so hard Sunday they knock the mole off his face.

SD's well-coached and have pretty good skill people to handle. I dont expect L.T. to run wild, but he'll certainly be a factor Sunday. Road openers are normally tough for young teams laden with rooks, but I think the Cowboys keep this one close. San Diego wins with a late FG. 20-17
