After watching Campbell tonight, we should all remember how bad it was not that long ago. The guy is playing scared and indecisive. He will not let one loose down the field for fear of an INT. At least we don't have to worry about that with Romo.

This so much reminds me of "The Dark Ages".

How did the Commanders win 2 games?

Man you aint lyin. Their D has played marginally ok but the O just is horrific. Portis just threw his helmet about thirty feet at the bench. Wow. What a mess in DC right now.

Philly can be had btw. They don't look that special at all.

Boy, I agree, outside of two big plays to Jackson which were a result of no contain and blown coverage, they look horrible. Westbrook is a big loss, especially blocking wise.

I think they're in for a big surprise in a couple weeks. :laugh2:

They played 5 of the worst teams in the NFL in a row. Two of those games were at home, and they managed to squeak them out.

Campbell isn't that bad. Not great, but not bad either. He's a Kyle Orton style bus driver but that offensive line is like single ply toilet paper after a night of cheap Chinese food.

Dan Snyder made a gargantuan mistake when he traded Champ Bailey for Portis. I still remember being baffled at that. He's been doing his best Julius Jones impression tonight running into his line.

Hopefully we can sneak LaRon Landry off that squad in the offseason.

new-Gen Cowboy fans will never forget the Jerry/Campo years... just like the 90s-gen will never forget the all important 1-15 badge of honor season! Odd how those 2 groups look at poor Cowboys teams so differently...

I don't think bus driver is the appropriate word for Campbell, he doesn't throw many picks, but he fumbles the ball an awful lot, just no pocket presence combined with a tendency to hold on the ball forever

That's an interesting point Mont. I was a little kid in the late 60's and going into the 70's and early 80's we had crushing losses but always good to great teams.

As I think about it I'm in the 90's Gen class as far as a brutal stretch of bad teams in the mid to late 80's.

I became a Cowboy fan during the season we lost to the 49ers on The Catch and remember all of those close calls we had with Danny White then you could see the slippage with the Steve Pelleur, Hogeboom and White at QB and players like Too Tall, Dorsett, Pearson getting older. Then the dreadful 89 season. I thought there was no hope for my Cowboys. I thought why in the heck did I choose this team to root for. Then Jerry and Jimmy and the rest was history.

I think the Eagles defense is shaky. Jackson is a playmaker but they got about half their points starting out in Commander territory or off turnovers. That's what teams are supposed to do but I would love nothing more than to beat the Eagles in 2 weeks. That would be sweet justice for the beatdown last year.

He looks to me as if he's playing scared. He hesitates to throw the ball more than anyone I've ever seen.

You could tell the Eagles had absolutely no respect for the Commanders' offense. Blitz after blitz after blitz...no way they will be stupid enough to blitz us that much! ;)

Campbell is scared of throwing a pick, so he holds the ball.

He threw an awful lot of dump offs.

And he's gotten hit quite a bit. Now he just seems reluctant to drop back.

Cartwright looked to be the only Skin on offense who wanted to play.

Yeah the Eagles just said send the house they still won't get the play off. The Commanders are awful and to me they are worse than some of the winless teams in the league.

 Oh brother. Campbell didn't have to play poorly tonight to let us know that Tony is superior. Our eyes have told us that for the last three years.

Careful bbgun ...... that almost sounded like optimism.

And I know how you hate the ism's.

I'm torn about this game as to which was better news: Was it that the Commanders, who we already know are horrible, continued their implosion - or is it that Philly who were the offseason champs didn't look that good either?? Either way, a great ending to a great NFL weekend.
